Look, I main a hunter ever since D1. I played them because of their bad ass style and the fact they fit who I am plus with the cool and useful supers they had...I play D2...then I see..Hunters in PvP are near dead. Seriously like almost all my kills are do to my gun play and skills. I have tried with all my heart to believe in the Hunter class but I made a Titan who's a low level and I go PvP with him and..seriously? A 20 kill streak? Next game 16 kills 2 deaths? I mean I know my luck isn't ever that good so I play a total of 20 games in PvP and I am always easily by far top player each time that its sad and the fact is most kills weren't even do to my gun play it was because of my supers and using shield ability to cheese a whole team and kill them. I go back to my Hunter which I played for a long time and main and I feel so under powered compared to the low level Titan I have...seriously? I mean cmon now. When I'm with my Hunter almost all my kills are from my guns. Obviously I'm not going to spin and kill a person nor in anyway be useful to my teammates. The skill for the hunter the spin is just a dodge while you have the other classes like my Titan able to protect a whole team plus reload the whole teams weapons as much as wanted for a period of time instead of spinning once like a ballerina and reloading a weapon. Hell even the ark super charge for hunters is funny. While other classes have a panic super charge where they can press and instantly kill you and everyone around you...while hunters have a super charge where we do a power rangers transformation while we get our heads filled with bullets while we transform to our final form like this was Dragon Ball Z. Man, simple way to put it is hunters are pretty much underwhelming in the class abilities and supercharges compared to the other classes. Hunter class needs a major and needed improvement. This isn't just from me but from so many people who main hunters plus people who don't even main them but see the simple fact that hunters are just a whatever in PvP.

Hunters do require more skill to play and yeah it isn't as flashy as other classes but it's effective to play, just requires more knowledge on what abilities you and your opponent has.

Hunters are actually pretty powerful. Their Dodges and Throwing Knives are very effective. Hunters are not intended to be the in-the-trenches type of class, although I have seen them played as such. Playing a Hunter takes a bit more environmental awareness and fast reaction times than Titans or even Warlocks do. Hunters don't particularly need improvement, I think the playstyles needed need to be better understood.

3 RepliesHunters have the highest skill cap, that's why you suck, that's why I keep trying. You think you'll automatically get 30 kills without trying, you are absolutely wrong. That is why most people choose hunter, it's the most skilled class.

In pve hunter is unfun imo. Your are allways forced to play nightstalker cuz of orpheus combo.... Thats all you got. Grenade is ok smoke is only sometimes usefull, compared to titan overshield it's really weak. The dodge gives you finally a fast reload.... Compared to a warlock rift or a titan shield it's a joke... Mobility is not that useful in pve everything also works without it. So y use mobility? Oh yes it's everywhere... So finally in any raid/strike group you are doomed to play nightstalker only cuz you can be a super spambot..

12 RepliesHunters are a class that has the highest skill ceiling warlocks and titans are like hitting the easy button. An individual that is a master at movement on a hunter is the hardest to deal with in the game.

Nightstalker's neutral game has the most potential and the highest skill cap out of any other subclass.

Dude.... Are you f****** serious? I rather be a hunter than anything golden gun kills every single class in the game Titans, warlocks and hunters golden gun is op dude that's where the hunter is dude. Get gud brotha cause the hunter is amazing.

I LOVE the hunter class. Arcstrider is my favorite. Personally i love the lucky raspberry with the arcbolt grenade but im trying to broaden my expertise to golden gun. I do feel nightstalker is nowhere near to what it was in D1, but thats fine. I have taken out a many golden guns, titan slams, panic nova bom warlocks, and any other super. Hunters are about precision, planning, and being smart. My arcstrider succeeds because others dont expect me to do what i do. Hunters dont sit far away, theyre close, hiding, waiting to pounce. The arcstrider is just that. Sit in a corner with your super while a titan slam or golden gun rounds the corner, and bam! I have the upper hand with the great area of effect of the staff that is basically a self seeking attack for enemies. Golden gun is a little underwhelming with its inability to one shot titan shields as a common class ability. But the 6 shots is fun, but not useful in pvp as the time for it is severly shortened. I love hunters. They move so smoothly, they escape so well, they flank, take advantage of others unawareness. Hunters are life.

3 RepliesObviously doesn't suit your play style, I do just fine with my hunter and perform better with it than my Titan or warlock. Every match I'm getting atleast a 2.0-3.0 kd. I'm glad d2 is more about the gunplay and not super or abilities. Supers should be taken out of pvp imo, they ruin the game and people think there badass mlg because they can kill someone with a golden gun but in a 1v1 gunfight they would get destroyed
