PSA About Faction Rally
There is an event that does not appear on your map where you stand near supplies to capture them. This event spawns 4 supply caches that you stand in a ring to capture. Each capture grants you a rep token for both the area faction and your chosen Faction.
On the fourth and final capture, a boss will spawn. After he is defeated and the point is capped, a chest will indeed spawn, as it were a normal event. I have seen exotic engram's reward from this chest, and its rather easy for farming tokens.
It doesn't have a heroic event trigger as of this moment, but I believe it doesn't at all.

11 RepliesTo piggyback off this info, you get one token from each supply you capture, but you also get four more tokens when you defeat the boss, for a total of eight, which makes this event the equivalent of completing a Heroic public event. I believe this is the best method to farm faction tokens ( both the supplies and the HPEs).

3 RepliesWord of advice if you do this solo: Keep a shotgun or sword as your heavy to deal with the Cabal cleaver dudes that start spawning. They usually spawn in pairs.

Titan FWC - liked the armour set the best by a small margin plus the weapons. Warlock New M - shaders! I like the armour set too.

The one in the EDZ does appear though. It has an announcement text in the bottom left of the HUD. It doesn’t show on the mini map, but it’s clearly marked on the screen. Blue markers will appear. Something like... [i]Supply caches are being delivered[/i] The boss spawned after I captured the 3rd one. You know, after I was weakened by wave after wave of yellow bar flametroopers (some shielded). The chest does spawn after the 4th capture though

With this, I've found that you will want to have a buddy to help, as every time I did it on my own, I timed out before the last one could be done. Just grab two at a time with your buddy and you should be fine on time.

12 RepliesSome occur next to and simultaneous with another main public event. With enough people, you can do both at the same time. Capture points whilst shooting enemies in the main event. Tough to trigger heroic, but should be doable with enough people. Lots of easy faction tokens [spoiler]But only works for Dead Orbit. Don't bother if your FWC[/spoiler] [spoiler]Not sure about New Monarchy. Nobody working for them anyways. [/spoiler]

I tried about 100 different things last night and couldn't make it Heroic so I believe you are right as far as that bit is concerned.

The rallies seem to start at the same time as a public event in an area. If there is a lost sector by a public event, good chance a rally will start also.

After playing for a bit more mine are consistently (without legendary mods) dropping around 8 less power. Good loot. Just a little disappointed about power level drops. Would rather more grind for power match. Just my two cents. Ty

10 RepliesEdited by Talk2MeToner: 9/27/2017 4:42:43 AMI saw an extremely tanky Cabal boss with a shield but also a large void weapon like the flying Cabal have... they usually don't mix phalanx shields with those... it was actually extremely difficult to fight and I legitimately couldn't kill it before it despawned. I am almost 300 power with raid rockets, cold heart, merciless, you name it but you couldn't ever get behind this thing as it's AI always seemed to know where to face and you couldn't get jack shit passed the shield nor break the shield like normal. It blew my mind. It was harder than fighting ghaul would have been at like level 15 and 30 plus power below recommended. Has anyone else seen this on Io? I imagine if you did with a friend it could be easy to hit his back while the other distracted but alone?....
