Is Failsafe a malfunctioning Malahayati?

My dad and I were talking about Siva, and we looked up videos talking about the Exodus program and how the ship that Malahayti was on had Siva. In a screenshot from a while ago said that Siva was supposed to be on a crashed ship on Nessus. So is there a connection?

Ive been awake for over 24 hours so don't take everything I say too seriously. From what I have gotten, Malahayati is not one of the Exodus AI. Each ship does appear to have have its own AI. In Old Russia 2 grimoire, Exodus Red calls Rasputin "The Tyrant" and never launched. Exodus Blue was never finished. I believe the AI in Old Russia 4 is still Exodus Red despite others out there claiming it's Exodus black, or Failsafe. Malahayati speaks of Rasputin in a very different tone. I am fairly certain that Failsafe became isolated from SIVA. It's very likely, especially with that strike info, that the fallen let it out. There's a few scannable servitor remains on Nessus. One mentions how the fallen rely on them for Ether and wouldn't abandon the remains unless they found another source (something along those lines). Somewhere, I forget, it's mentioned how the house of devil's is trying to recruit more houses by basically saying Siva is the end of their reliance on Ether. So I'd say Failsafe is probably just old and damaged, not infected by Siva and unrelated to Malahayati. That's just how I see it anyway.

    • Malahayati is not a colony ship AI. Mala is not well defined but is called a "submind" of rasputin who works with General Chen Lanshu. She also was involved in the saber green launches which put rasputins doomsday weapons in orbit. Based on that, I'd say the best idea is mala is a routine of rasputin meant to interact with humans on military and defense strategy. The colony ship AI, which failsafe is one, absolutely state that SIVA was on at least one of the exodus ships, and exodus black is a very likely candidate. Even pre D2 videos showed a SIVA strike but that appears to have been removed from D2 vanilla (probably show up in a future DLC). The failsafe we see in game doesn't indicate SIVA influence so right now, SIVA has no role in D2. I could easily see a SIVA infection corrupting failsafe in future content, but right now doesn't show that.
