Buff every subclass

Now I'm going to start by saying that I only have minimal experience on the hunter subclasses and no experience on the warlock subclasses in destiny 2, so my ideas might be biased, but please bear with it. Also keep in mind I'm more directly focusing on lack luster subclass nodes, not necessarily the base super. This post will be broken down into spoiler tabs so you aren't just reading a wall of text (instead you're reading a wall that says spoilers) So let's begin with Titans Sunbreaker: [spoiler]path of the siegebreaker in particular. This skill tree has a smaller blast radius than it's counterpart node but grants far better survivability and damage overall, but the problem that mostly occurs in crucible and against more mobile ads, is that the radius being smaller sometimes interfere with the power of the subclass. I've seen many hammers I've thrown either be dodged by a smidgeon, something that would have killed them if I used the other node, or it hitting them but doing no damage. So instead of increasing the blast radius, increase the velocity the hammers fly at and increase the arc at which they travel at. And please, fix getting cut off mid animation when you run out of super mid throw, it's incredibly annoying.[/spoiler] Sentinel: [spoiler]now I'm focusing mainly on ward of dawn for this, because it's really the only downside to sentinel, besides shield throws not killing after ricochet. Swap out armor of light for blessing of light. If I'm going to use up my whole super for a shield that can be easily destroyed/easily be pushed out of by bosses stomping around and so on, blessing of light would be a far better option than armor because not only does it protect your team more, it helps out a great deal more in general. Ward of dawn generates extra orbs after being damaged/destroyed. This super generates very minimal amounts of orbs and overall ward of dawn doesn't do much, so by adding this it will help keep the ward of dawn much more effective in both pve and PvP. [/spoiler] Striker: [spoiler]now this one was a tough one because of how great striker already is and I really don't think it needs anything other than a small buff, and the buff would be to add headstrong to the perk called terminal velocity. [/spoiler] Now onto warlock Dawnblade: [spoiler]the top right skill tree of the dawnblade focuses very heavily on aeriel combat, but a lot of the times in both pve and PvP that doesn't help and can be quite damaging. So my idea is to buff I air accuracy while gliding, and while in air dawnblade drains slower, extending it's duration.[/spoiler] Voidwalker: [spoiler]this one was tough to think of because like striker it's already almost perfect, but there is one thing I would like to see improvement on. Improve the speed at which the action seekers on slova bomb travel at, because I have seen enemies just out right run away from them because of how slow they are. Slova bomb can no longer be destroyed by enemy fire. This was something my friends said they had a problem with, although I directly have only seen it be shot down by a golden gun shot. Slova bomb = cataclysm Nova bomb[/spoiler] Tickle fingers (stormcaller): [spoiler]arc web is an ability that is incredibly useful for bunched up enemies, but overall the attunement of ions node is lacking in terms of synergy, so my idea is to buff arc web by making it so that kills with grenades help replenish grenade and melee energy. Attunement of elements is also in need of a little love. Rising storm currently reduces the stormcallers class ability cooldowns (rifts) by standing near allies, but it should be buffed to help reduce class ability cooldowns for the stormcaller and nearby allies.[/spoiler] Now onto hunters Gunslinger first: [spoiler] I have been hearing a lot of talk about how lacking the six shooter node is to gunslinger and thought of a decent way to buff it. With the six shooter perk active on golden gun, in addition to having 6 shots, rapid kills with golden gun will return 1 golden gun shot and increase duration (every 2 kills grants 1 bullet and 4 more seconds to the duration of golden gun) however, this must be done in a 5 second window to be considered rapid kills. This will greatly improve it's usability in pve and Grant a potential of 9 shots overall [/spoiler] Nightstalker: [spoiler]I've been thinking about each node for this subclass and it's been hard to think of what to do, but here goes. Way of the trapper, void arrows fired at enemies will track them. Each enemy tagged by the void tether will replenish melee energy for you and nearby allies. Mobius quiver arrows have increased velocity and create a tether more quickly. Enemies trapped in the void anchors share damage when being shot at.[/spoiler] Arcstrider: [spoiler]I personally don't think there is anything wrong with arcstrider, it has a long duration and can speedily kill ads and gaurdians, but the biggest issue I've been hearing of is mobility and how the dodge doesn't always help keep the arcstrider alive. The perk called combat flow actually sucks, so my idea is that getting any melee kills helps restore grenade energy and kills while in super trigger health regeneration, increased mobility after each arcstrider super kill. [/spoiler] I've also been thinking a lot about class abilities and have some more ideas below for them. Class abilities first Hunter: [spoiler]marksman dodge no longer fully reloads your weapon, but grants greatly increased stability and reload speed to you and nearby allies, in pve and pve only it will grant a small attack boost to you and nearby allies. Gamblers dodge: Rolling near enemies grants melee energy (but not fully refilling it unless 3 or more enemies or near) and will recover 15% of your health per enemy nearby. Rolling at any time reloads your magazine [/spoiler] Titan rally barricade [spoiler]rally barricade is good but it's incredibly dangerous to use in pve, so in pve only you should be granted damage resistance when shooting over the wall[/spoiler] Warlock rifts: [spoiler]I honestly don't have any problem with either rifts, but maybe increase the radius of the empowering rift, it is way too small and sometimes you don't even know your standing on it[/spoiler]

The idea that a skilltree built around aerial combat still having in-air accuracy penalties is just... dumb. Additionally, I'd love to see Icarus Dash either have two charges between cooldowns, or have the one dash you further/faster. In D1, there was a perk in one of the trees that allowed grenade kills to fully charge your melee, and melee kills to fully charge your grenade. I think this fits perfectly into the Transcendence build because the appeal of that particular cluster is the ability to roam longer while in Stormtrance. ___________________________________________________________________________________ Alas, Bungo is so afraid of things being useful that everything is watered down to the point of barely being usable.

      The super draining slower while airborne would be [b][i]perfect[/i][/b] for dawnblade, attunement of sky. That's such an amazing idea! And the in-air accuracy would be incredibly useful as well. Right now, Winged Sun is only good in extremely close ranges because anything outside of smg range you can't hit a single shot.     • I'll just reply in segments: ~Sunbreakers. Honestly this one needs the most love. at least for pvp because sunbreaker is generally about making your super better. and since supers see less play in pvp you see the problem. I'd honestly prefer if they got a whole new cluster focused on pvp or at least one that's less super focused. But as far as small changes go i'd like it if suncharge replaced the shoulder charge perk in top tree. If they still want it to be a debuff fine. But remove the thing that makes us have to sprint to use it. And finally i'd like the sun spot effect to linger a little after you've left the sunspot. ~Sentinel all I can really agree with is letting the bubble generate more orbs. I like armor of light for pvp purposes. ~Striker wise I want more leap distance in the super. it's pitiful. Or at least some how give us back the death from above animation. be it in the tree or an exotic. ~I think the dodge cost for icarus dash in super should be halved. or removed completely if they plan on keeping the super the exact same. it's too hard to use and too short of a use for the little damage it actually gives. Bottom tree is damn near needed in order to make any decent damage or play for even pve. sad. overall I think the clusters are fine though and I think the super itself needs some love. ~Voidlock wise I want better tracking on the seekers from slova after it's popped. Or perhaps just faster tracking. ~I am ignoring stormcaller as I have a bias towards it. ~That's a stupid insane buff. 6 shooter has plenty of use as is. People are just butt hurt over the fact that they can't roam around with it. And leave incorrect statements saying it makes GG weaker. when you can't OHK other supers to begin with regardless of how many shots you have. You need to take bottom tree and headshot with it in order to OHK supers. I think gunslinger is perfectly fine. though I wish for at least one of the trees scavenger was built in. ~Nightstalker is perfect. It would be nice to have an additional second on dodge invis but that might be too strong for pvp. Though. I think it wouldn't be too much to ask to either give suppression on hit in pvp for NS or shorten/remove the arm time for tether so it can be a bit easier to setup. but not both. ~combat flow is great. if you run with gamblers dodge. Only change i'd be comfortable with on arc strider is making it so dodge can skip attacks in combos to give easier access to other attacks. Say one dodge means you only have to light and then heavy to get to force palm. or 2 dodges in a row just lets you force palm immediately. force palm has good damage and reach and this suggestion is far better keeping in line with the monk style of combat it has versus trying to cram speed down it's throat in hopes to bring back the feeling of blade dancer. ~Marksmens comes back in half the time if it didn't reload your weapon. Good buff because it does let you scooch around corners easier. and dragons shadow doubles your dodge distance if dodging forward or backwords. so you'd have a decent enough dodge but can still be tracked easy ish. Gamblers life steal is a neat Idea that should exist on an exotic. Not by default. ~it's fine as is. ~maybe a super small increase to radius.

              • I think we need the D1 nodes back where you have more subclass options and you can mix/match them together in any way you want. Picking Set A vs Set B is waaaaaaaaay too limiting.

                • I don't main a hunter but is it true that a arcstrider can die from one hit from a sentinel? If so a armor and speed boost should be a thing because my friends keep complaining about they are too weak in and out of super.

                    • Bring back og striker. ONE slam, that wreaks HAVOC. I don't like slamming an arc strider, only for him to be able to 2/3 hit combo me before I can even recover to dash to finish him off. Strikers are not about being fancy, if you want that, go to sunbreaker. Why did they keep the voidwalkers 'practically' the same, but mess with strikers when our game should be complete and utter devastation in close range (if you don't over jump it.. whoops lol) give us aftershocks for 1 shots, and unstoppable for being the tanks y'all need us to be, and keep your dancing around. We don't need to feel relevant compared to the rest of the roaming supers, but when it comes time to deny a roaming super of wiping my team? I'd rather deal in that absolute

                      • Yeah I agree with what your saying. I just wish the warlock rift would draw more quickly. It sucks to die in mid animation because it takes forever to plant. Also when tossing a solar nade or vortex. The time it takes for the ticks to start seems to be off. Does anyone else notice this?

                          • Can only speak to warlocks at the moment. But I agree with everything except rift. The size is fine, but the plant speed is too slow and the empowering rift is too weak. I say increase plant speed by 20-30% and either make empowering rift do 40% damage buff (rather than 30%) or make it so you just pass through it to get the buff like the arc soul perk.

                                • That 6 shooter buff would give 11 shots if done properly. Since after getting 3 from the main six you could get one more and combine that with the third, giving the 11th shot.

                                    • Arc stryder just needs a range boost and the six shooter is a very interesting idea. I would like to see hunters make more orbs IMO.

                                      Ok i see your points and let me see i do like the ideas ☺ as a titan i do like the ideas for all the classes. I totally agree with the dmg resistance in pve for the barricades. Sunbreakers: Siegebreakers do have small blast radius compared to the fire forged. If anything maybe a slight boost to tracking speed? Also maybe fire forged needs a small buff because i find it hard to stay alive compared to the other counterpart. Maybe add in any solar ability kills grant increased recovery? Would be nice to get back in the fight more often. Sentinel: Ward of dawn is just meant to hold ur ground for 30 sec. Its more as a last resort kind of thing u know. But i do agree maybe add gift of the void to help produce orbs on incoming dmg because lets face it 4 grenades and a few power ammo shots can destroy it 🤔😐. Also inst3ad of replacing armor maybe add in an exotic (glasshouse) to grant blessings upon leaving the ward (blessings and armor wont stack) fyi blocking with a shield produces orbs upon incoming dmg👌👍 Striker: You are right. Strikers are perfect where they are at rn. To add headstrong on terminal velocity would be op. There would be alot more airborne titans 😂 but i honestly wouldnt mind if it was an exotic. Would be a nice trade off. (I dont play the other classes but i do have in depth knowledge about them cuz i love the lore) Warlocks really need some team based abilities besides the rift. Stormcaller does a nice job with the little arc souls. Dawnblade: i agree while airborne dawnblade drains slower. For the sky tree add more tracking for airborne or airborne kills keep u afloat? For flame, add increase velocity. It would promote alot more arial battles👍 Voidwalker: with slova bomb enemies should not be able to shoot it down, unless they use a super. For example, 2-3 gg shots, blade strikes and hammers, another slova bomb. Also slightlt inceease the trackingof the bomb and the seekers because ive seen a hunter break the novas ankles and survived. Litterally didnt think it was possible. Stormcaller: i dont really agree with u. But maybe add in a team passive where all arc subclasses have reduce cooldowns if nearby. What are ur thoughts? Any buffs or additions must be lore friendly ok? Like ill let the hunter punch slide 😐 but the dodge buffs wouldnt make munch sense. The gamblers dodge would be op on arctriders. Maybe for dodge add bonus recovery. Makes sense. The marksmans dodge makes some sense. Increase stability, accuracy and/or handling for a short period of time but it wouldnt be a team thing. But i honestly do like the small dmg boost on dodge for friendlies. Maybe when u dodge, a buff will appear on friendlies to when they reload they get a dmg boost mag? Im not trying to be mean or anything 😮 Gunslinger: That idea would be -blam!-ing amazing and cool for add control. But idk how it would be in pvp 😕🙃 Arcstider: they have plenty of mobility 😐they have unlimited dodges and have a dmg resist perk for dodging. If ur charging directly to some1 then ur doing it wrong. Dodge cover to cover avoid gunfights but close the distance. Fyi there is a chest that increases mobility on dodge try using that??? Combat meditation is amazing in PvP, especially in trials. When u are about to loose a gunfight, just pull out and let the perk do its thing. Eventually ull be able to throw grenades more efficiently than ur enemy thus increasing ur neutral game. In my opinion i think its an amazing perk even with focused breathing i believe. Nighstalker: For example, what u said isnt lore friendly kinda. The trapper should get instant tethers when some1 enters the area of activation.(cuz they are trappers u know o.o) The path finder should have increases velocity but shouldnt be a hit scan. I do believe trapper has blood bound tho. What r ur thoughts?

                                      • They need to bring back shoulder charging IMO. None of this melee ability bullcrap. I tried using shoulder charge in crucible and it didn't kill any of my targets, just brought them to half health. (Might have been lag though, pretty much everyone in that match was lagging.)

                                        • Dawnblade duration can be technically infinite with path of flame, but I do like the idea of a slightly lower drain while airborne. Path of sky definitely needs work to be useful
