I can't back my opinion that people should be allowed to do what they want to their bodies if it doesn't harm others with a study. That's just a personal bias I have. Is this a dynamic issue, that may open up different pathways by which others may be harmed through the legalization of marijuana? Yes, it is. However I would also argue the war on drugs hasn't exactly been very successful in doing the opposite. Complete non sequitur, but I did want to hear your opinion on the NFL's reactions to Trump's comments today, Camm. I'm feel like yours is an interesting point of view on the situation.

  • You know.. I just don't care about this shit at all. It has no impact on me. My husband though.. he has some strong opinions. Opinions I don't agree with. The president is an idiot so I hardly pay attention to what he says but I think my head coach, who happens to be a stellar dude, had a good solution. Just stay off of the field until right before kick off. That's how it was prior to 2009. Players weren't even brought out until after the anthem. Problem (terrible word to describe it) solved. Remove the soapbox from the game. Players can still use their soapbox on their own time, they have every right to voice their opinion (as much as our idiot president) but I would argue that the game (that we pay for) doesn't start until kickoff. Either way, kneeling or not, has no impact on the game. Taking that "it's their workplace" or "place of business" route is lame. Everyone's morals are beneath me so this shit is dumb to me.

  • I agree. I think it's a big distraction, and most people don't even realize the fact that teams only started doing this after the military started sending pretty hefty checks to the NFL. But I suppose that's a conversation for another day. I don't like my football mixed with politics, especially with the soap opera-tier shit going on day to day here. The worst part is obviously the networks are treating it like it's such a big deal. So much coverage, it's nauseating.

  • Yeah. It's gross.
