So in this story you have a guardian who had the time to grind out Destiny 2 to its dead end game potential(As of 3 weeks after release...PS no custom games, Bungo hello?)This guardian has decided to use this no life time to grind heroic public events because of how easy it to boost your light on alt characters, and one of the best ways to get exotic engrams(PS exotics are the equivalent to getting moldering shards in the Taken King raid) So like any guardian who sets out to waste over 100 hours, I had completed 316 heroic public events. Now I'm only human so god bless blaze nation, the magic number 420, smoke w33d everyday, I put in a couple more hours or so trying to get that perfect number. After accumulating the sacred number 420 heroic public events, I decided to be done with public events, which also means no more flash points which was fine because at this point I did not need any more gear for light or god forbid another exotic since I seem to have farmed for almost all of the exotics missing one in terms of armor and Skyburner's Annex in terms of guns. So a week goes by and the completionist I pretend to be, I set out to complete all the adventures. On this day, when this very story is written, one of these adventures spawns next to a public event where other guardians are trying to complete its heroic challenge. Now this specific adventure in the Gulch EDZ Earth, required of me to approach areas to survey them, and one was next to that public event. With the fear of losing the sacred number 420, I hopped on my sparrow and boosted right through the event on the survey checkpoint and bailed it. Sadly I somehow joined this public event. Pissing my pants I rush with my sparrow to the farthest reach of the EDZ trying not to orbit because I didn't want to abandon the adventure activity. Somehow, someway I COMPLETE THE HEROIC EVENT! Now the magic number was no longer magic, and this emblem that tracks public events what was once the best emblem in the game was obsolete and I deleted after it now displayed 421:( My frustration is that I did nothing for the heroic public event and was nowhere near it and I STILL COMPLETED IT! If i could go back in time after acquiring vex time travel powers, the first thing I would do is pull the plug on my PS4 to save 420. So now I move on to other emblems that display stats such as the nightfall. I now prepare myself to put over another 100 hours to get 420 emblem yet again. The reason I want to do this is because right not the endgame is really weak after doing all the reset activities but then again its only being out for about three weeks, the only thing I can find to do is things like this. Grinding out activities that I don't benefit from to acquire a meme number just for a laugh. Or god forbid CRUCI(getting team mates who are level 8 in competitive, COMPETITIVE which one doesn't make the player feel like its actually competitive it is legit just a separate playlist with two new modes. Two playing solo and finding an enemy 4 stack, seeing this most other people decide to leave believing they are about to be farmed. leaving you and the boosted duo are now fighting the 4 horseman pub stomping of team shots and T-bags because nobody joins back and it always seems like the opposing team's adrenaline has somehow increased x6 as they bomb rush you, spawn trapping you and the boosted duo after being killed 5 seconds ago.Note Destiny 2 spawning system is really bad. It also doesn't reward players yet to feel like they are good at this game and have something to show for it other than an emblem showing how many wins they have in competitive.WHICH DOESN'T EVEN DROP BY WINNING COMP BUT A RANDOM REWARD FROM SHAXX AFTER TURNING IN TOKENS!)ble. time to grind another stat displayed emblem for that magic number.
