No articles or studies necessary in my opinion. The entire debate should easily be decided by the fact that cannabis consumption is a victimless crime. And when you endorse laws that create these victimless crimes, you're essentially saying "I believe the government knows what's best for me more than I do". And that's just silly.
Laws should be put in place to protect us from other people. Not to protect us from ourselves.

Opinion on bestiality? One would assume something like a horse or a dog is capable of letting you know if your actions are unwanted, no?

Do you normally determine the sexual interest of a partner by whether or not they react violently when you attempt intercourse without their prior consent? I believe we already have a term that describes that sort of action..

Let me know when you can talk to animals!

But I have an essay to write. I quite literally need articles and studies.

You think I would rely on bnet kids for an essay? That's cute. There's a specific database I have to get my material from.

Colleges are stepping up their game, I guess. Hope that database actually has some good sources in it. I saw a shit ton of pretty slanted articles while I was browsing studies.

I don't need them, but I want them.

what about suicide tho
what about suicide tho
Should be legal, provided it's not some insurance fraud or something like that, and provided you speak to a professional once or twice prior.

Nothing in this entire world is truly yours more than your own life. If you choose to end it.. that should be your right. A lot of people kill themselves slowly every day with booze, cigs, food, etc. But that's socially acceptable. I don't see the reason for the stigma behind doing it in a single evening. That being said.. I feel most suicides are a result of a mental health issue. And like I mentioned in my other reply, I feel a lot of this could be better handled with more money going toward research into what's causing the issue and offering help to those who need it.

Or all drugs for that matter?

Yes. However that doesn't mean I fully condone their use the way I do with cannabis. I see things that cause strong addictions as medical issues, not criminal ones. Had we spent the trillion dollars wasted on the "war on drugs" on education and research.. and offering help instead of a prison cell.. I'm willing to wager we'd now have better results than we ended up with.

Extremely addictive drugs continue to be a high profit market for those who can exploit addicts. I don't think that should stand; I agree with the idea that prison won't help the sick very much, however.

Then I don't think we're very far off at all. I said "yes" to your question about legalizing for the sake of brevity, when I should have been more accurate and specified that I believe they should be decriminalized, not legalized. I don't think we should be able to run up to the 7-11 and buy a 20-piece of smack, but I don't think someone's life should be ruined if they get caught with one either.
