[b]Xur could sell legendary kinetic mods and the mats required to craft Exotic weapon mods.[/b] Crafting exotic mods requires exotic shards (bought from Xur), glimmer, and the exotic weapon you wish to transfuse the mod's effect with. (This consumes the exotic gun.) [b]This crafting mechanic provides a "shard sink" for players and adds a new layer of endgame customization. Also, this crafting recipe gives a utility to the "Collections" tab of the vault[/b]. Want to make a Hard Light mod? Go make a Hard Light and then go buy some shards from Xur! [b]An exotic weapon mod can be slotted on a legendary weapon in lieu of using an exotic weapon[/b]. (Limit of 1 Exotic mod equipped at a time.) These mods would add a slightly less potent/modified exotic effect to the gun its equipped to. Some exotic weapons cannot be made into mods (i.e. The Wardcliff Coil) because their effect is too unique or it is incompatible. Some exotic mods can only be applied to specific weapon types (i.e. Merciless exotic mod can only be applied to fusion rifles). [u]Examples:[/u] [b]"Hard Light" Exotic mod[/b]: +5 Power; Adds ricochet to rounds fired and removes damage drop-off to equipped weapon. [b]"MIDA" Exotic mod[/b]: +5 power; Retains radar while aiming down sights. Increases movement speed with equipped weapon. [b]D.A.R.C.I. Exotic mod[/b]: +5 power; Aiming down sights increases target acquisition and shots fired while aiming down sights deal more damage. This would allow players to take their favorite legendary and make them "exotic". Just imagine a MIDA-powered Nameless Midnight... Or a Scathelocke with no damage drop-off... The possibilities are greatly increased with this mechanic. [b]With each new legendary weapon added, exotic mods become a new variable in gun viability.[/b]
