I seriously hate these overly sensitive crybabies. I hope they get robbed.

I haven't played Sims 4 but, god I hated being robbed in Sims 3. Especially when my Sims were asleep or at work lmao.
-
I mean, if i got robbed at gun point, in my own home, probably would be traumatized for life.. After all, my life is threatened, in what should be my own personal haven, and could be ended. So i can easily understand why some people wouldn't want bergulars. At the same time, it could easily just be an option in the game to turn off this type of thing. So don't be an ass to the people who've had this happen to them (dickhead), be an ass to the devs for not making this just an option that can be turned on or off.
-
Understandable, not everyone likes to re-experience something bad that has happened in their life even if if it's just a virtual re-creation. Don't be mad at those this was done for, be mad at the dev's clear inability/not thinking of an option to turn burglars on/off.
“Apparently somebody during design felt that due to the nature of the Sims 4’s focus on the ‘home space lot,’ that a burglar invading said space could feel like a violation to players, including inducing anxiety and possible trigger players who have experienced similar experiences.” “A team of producers surrounded by people OF that generation [would] point out that the invasion of their home or safe place could create feelings of discomfort or possible even triggering.” “If you look at the overall goofy nature of much of The Sims 4, I could certainly see some truth in creating a safer, happy experience for Sims players. Certainly being the victim of a burglary would be the opposite.”

Loool please tell me thats not a real quote. "The new gen" arent they supposed to b less pussy than the older gens? Y it it reversed Who tf finds it offensive to get robbed in a game? Or am i on the crack? These mfs dont kno what GTA is or they must be some 6 year olds playing SIMS. I havent played SIMS before but damn that's like taking lol i cant even compare it to anything cuz it aint shit to compare...actually thats like taking poke balls out of pokemon because ppl feel like its animal abuse or that it condones poke slavery.

While this will seem like too much for some, especially since previous installments of The Sims featured burglars, TOLKIEN’s source noted that this has to do with the fact that the game was made “for a new generation.”
Wait, so burning people alive or trapping them in pools to slowly drown is completely legit, but they're worried the kids might be traumatized because when they wake up, the sofa's gone? Bet trips to McDonald's are fun. Better put a trigger warning on that Hamburgler.

I'd love to see one of those children play Ark. That's a real anxiety producer.

1. Article is titled RUMOR 2. You seriously used the inquisitor for a reference? Seriously?
-
It isnt robbing or looting, it is called justice for Michael Brown or whoever was killed recently.
-
That's really stupid to be honest people need to realize it's a game. It should be oh damn I lost some stuff not oh my -blam!-ing god what if he ties up my family at gun point and steals everything. I've been robbed before and don't understand this shit.
-
I would think anyone playing sims is looking for a better life. How are people supposed to react? "Oh.. a burglar... yay!"...??
-
Just make it a setting if anything, then normal people and special snowflakes are both happy
-
What's the point of the game then, it's meant to simulate real life not push you through and make everything turn out great. People get robbed everyday and life isn't fair. These people are stupid and this shouldn't be changed

Edited by Hellbent02: 9/24/2017 7:09:11 AMWas they plan on adding -blam!- to the burglaries? That's really the only way I could see if being messed up. Real life is way more -blam!-ed than Sim life. I think more people would have respect for a company that said "you don't like it, then don't buy it." Snows flakes is always going to find something to be offended by.

I remember burglaries and fires in The Sims games used to freak me out as a kid but getting rid of such things just seems silly to me.
-
Woooooow
-
You don't curb crime by removing it's from games.
-
This is tragic, I'm suddenly compelled to download the game to my pc and test this theory out.
-
In sims 3 I always had a burglar who was black and always stole my couch. I thought it was so funny.
-
good post

Meanwhile, Call Me Kevin is trying to get in a relationship with Death.
-
I remember playing Sims on the PS2. I always lol'd when the burglar arrived.
-
I didn't even know the Sims had burglars.
-
"Why didn't you preceded this post with a trigger warning?"
-
I thought there were mods in past games that removed the burglar. And even then, I encountered only one in 3 years of playing 1-3.
