The Tragedy of Twilight Gap

Twilight Gap was one of the fiercest battles the City ever fought. The House of Kings united the Fallen under one force and puppeteered the House of Devils to lead the offense. This offensive also included the House of Winter. The Wolves were due to join the fighting, and would have, had The Awoken Queen, Mara Sov, not captured Skolas, the Wolf Kell. The other houses of the Fallen do not like Skolas because of this, they think he betrayed them, uninformed that he was not the Wolf Kell at the time of the battle. Saladin led the defense, along with his protégés Zavala and Shaxx. Ana Bray, marked by her golden wolf design (later honored by the Strength of the Pack cloak) was also a significant part of this battle, a Gunslinger Hunter whose Golden Gun shots left burning pools of light wherever she decimated her enemies. Another valiant light, Liu Feng, a Sunbreaker Titan, held the wall with Zavala, Saladin, and Shaxx. She went on to live through this battle and create the Sunshot pistol, a pistol that would speak like her hammer. As the battle raged on, Shaxx disobeyed orders from Saladin to push a counterattack, which was successfully able to push back the Fallen houses. But the damage had been done, and Saladin's trust betrayed. Hundreds of Guardians perished in the fighting, including Kei-Ying, a Titan recorded in the Last Stands of First Pillars. Many of the City's outposts outside the walls were abandoned after this, for fear of another tragedy. Defenses were raised, gunsmiths worked days and nights to revise and improve their designs (the Grim Citizen III being in of these), and most famously of all, the Crucible was created, after Shaxx petitioned the newly-formed Vanguard to allow Guardians to train with live-fire exercises in order to prepare should something of these proportions ever happen again. He and his Redjacks soon reclaimed these graves of hundreds, including Frontier, and Twilight Gap itself. Also, Gjallarhorn was created as a ceremonious weapon after this, so that the light of Guardians long gone could live on in their smelted armor and eviscerate the Fallen that doomed them again. A shame it was lost, and a new one had to be forged during the SIVA Crisis. But, I digress.
Originally write this to explain Ana Bray to someone, wrote too much

EDIT: Thank you to SmokyDragon33 and Grimlock 205 for correcting me on the minds behind the Twilight Gap offensive.

EDIT2: Thank you to DavernoInferno for providing info on Liu Feng's involvement in the Twilight Gap.
