With regard to raid aesthetics...

Probably the best. Kings fall was cool, but it just felt like more of the same Dreadnaught scenery. Between WoTM and Leviathan I can tell that Bungie stepped up the map design for raids. The following contains slightly more specific info on the Leviathan.
Leviathan has the most clearly designed theme. The feeling of fighting into/sneaking into the emperor's palace is so clearly conveyed in this raid. From start to where my fire team stopped, we felt awed by the opulence and grandeur of the palace. The initial lever puzzles were neat, and we especially liked scaling the pipes to find the aqueduct chest. While I did not get to explore past the baths I am thoroughly looking forward to the rest of the raid.
• Ever seen "Jodorowsky's Dune?" It's a really fascinating documentary about an extremely ambitions sci-fi that never was. The Emperor's Palace channels the visuals of it perfectly.
