With easy access to MAX Power Level and easy access to every weapon. What are we grinding for?
I wish to see a reason to play every day rather than just DLC. Sure I'll complete whatever DLC is thrown at me within a day, but it's not enough. I think we as guardians need an actual ranking system in PvP. A real ranking system in Strikes. I also want to see Strike Specific loot with amazing perks to keep this game going. Hell, have Luke Smith design/make the strike specific loot because every gun he makes is incredible. These are just small factors that can contribute to the game's lifespan.
Thank You,
Win4Win

We are grinding for that godroll static weapon that's 10 lvels lower than your max power you've gotten 50 times in a row from 3 different vendors.

Yeah he can make a great gun but I can't say the same for the sequel

Yes, we desperately need ranked systems

Anyone else have opinions?

Literally nothing, Exotic engrams aren't even a thrill anymore or hold prestigious loot like they used to. You can literally get exotics from anything you do. Hell, even if you're doing a public event a level 7 can get one. They're too easy to get, not even a challenge anymore. They literally throw them at you while doing the story line. Primary ammo is now harder to come by than exotic engrams

Nothing we are grinding against each other Grinding for elitism Look how Bungie always makes it about who's 1st That's all The end game could be a fashion show, but even then Bungie chooses shader color/scheme , just like they chose which perks we are going to us for our subclasses.

Power is absolutely useless now. Only place where it matters a little is campaign story. Everything after that scales up to your level, or your level scales down to that place.

I'm your huckleberry... - old
There is a major lack of gear...i saw so many creative ideas on the companion app for D1 and bungie has too much pride, too arrogant or too stupid to use them. There should be about 25 to 30 exotic weapons and 20 exotic pieces of armour per class. There just isnt enough gear to farm for. Weapons are a bore because they are all the same because perks have been ruined with the "balancing"...they can fix tbis by adding tons of gear that can only be used for PvE. -
Edited by blade329: 9/21/2017 2:27:32 PMBINGO!! I've been asking the same thing. This is the problem created when you "balance" the overall game for competitive PvP play. Sure, gear is more balanced and even, but it destroys all incentive to grind for loot. Isn't that the whole point of the game? Destiny should not be balanced for competition in PvP. Not unless you separate it from PvE completely. I don't know about you, but there is almost zero excitement when I get an exotic because I know it's going to be weak. That's so I wont get any kind of advantage with it in PvP. So, why would I care about grinding for them?

There is no reason to anymore and it's all in the name of placating the PvP crowd. No more God tier exotics, no more God rolled legendaries, recharge rates that can be timed by a sun dial, exotic perks that used to come on legendary gear. Everything is bland and uninspired.

Simple answer: E-Peen

Same thing we grind any game for: you grind activities to get gear so you can grind that activity more, and faster. This isn't a mystery, it's the essence of loot-shooter. D2 speeds up the first part a bit to get people hooked faster. I freely admit, I'm in it for the act of grinding. Shit, I play Warframe. Destiny has ZERO grind by comparison.

If the loot table wasn't so seemingly small paired with the high likely hood of duplicates, it wouldn't be so bad.

SO WE GET A TON OF LOOT!
