Since everyone and their dog, and their dogs neighbour is taking about a fourth subclass, maybe it's about time I put my theory hat back on. Despite the constant asshat comments about my theories being asspulls, regardless! Personally I don't believe Bungie will release a 4th subclass for destiny 2. That being said, it's always fun to theorize and in such a case when the do create a 4th subclass, I want my horse in the race too. Now from what I've been reading throughout these forums, people are saying Ice, Frost, Comet subclass. Respectfully I have to disagree, no matter how god damn cool an Ice subclass would be. I find a subclass based around Ice to be unlikely as all the current subclasses seem to possess some relation to the universal forces. For anyone unaware, the four universal forces are as follows, Electromagnetism, Gravity, Strong and weak Nuclear Forces respectively. Now the reason I believe these forces have some relation to our subclasses is simple. Electromagnetism, easily represents Arc with Little need for explanation. As for strong Nuclear Force, this has various connections to how the sun works and nuclear reactions. As for gravity, this is void , why? Void is the subclass identified by the fact that it is the empty space between stars, ie gravitational pulls or the fact that regardless, the void acts as a wall to keep the darkness away, a wall of gravity (Honestly this is the weakest link in the connection) however there is also the NS perk for hunters known as Black hole. What's left? Where's all this leading? Weak nuclear force. What's so important about WEAK nuclear force I hear you thinking, however those know what Weak nuclear is responsible for, know exactly what I'm leading up to. Weak nuclear force is responsible for atoms and how they react with one another. This is by far the simplest way I can describe weak nuclear force, so if anyone can better described it in the comments, that would be greatly appreciated. So what would be the most likely new subclass? Well as tired and cliche as it sounds, I have to say, Darkness. Or rather, Rot. A subclass focused on Decay and destruction. Or maybe it will be Ice with a Rot and destruction motif. This is overall my theory for what a 4th subclass would likely be. If you have any ideas for a 4th subclass, please share them.
