Please don't give the Oathbreaker debuf if we get kicked to orbit because the game kicks us out
Hi Bungie Help,
We just got kicked backed to orbit while doing the Nightfall with Guided Games. It wasn't a disconnect from our side, the game just disconnected us. We still got the "Oathbreaker" debuff, although we did not abandon the third guy (or gal).
This needs to be looked at, because if you run the risk to get the debuff even if you're not at fault, less and less people will offer guided game plays. Bungie needs to be able to distinguish between leaving to orbit and getting kicked to orbit, otherwise the guided game feature is not attractive at all.

Talking around my friends brought up the topic and consensus there at least was that getting kicked shouldn't incur a debuff because it's not something the player has any real control over. If you get an error code, what are you supposed to do? It's not like you left the game willingly, so why should a player be penalized for that? Seems a bit ridiculous to punish players for being disconnected when they really can't do anything about it in the first place. It's like if you were to punish a child because they tripped and dropped food on the floor. they didn't mean to, they are already upset about it happening, then you go and punish them? Come on Bungie. That doesn't make any sense.

1 ReplySame. Got beaver coded to orbit and lost my ticket and got oathbreaker debug. Probably shouldn't do that when the leave or disconnect was a game error code like beaver, cabbage, weasel etc.

I admire patient people like you who are willing to help others. If this effects the person helping in a negative way its a shame. Less and less would probably be willing to lend a hand.

Yeah I just got kicked out too, and I was about to finish the guided Nightfall. That's ridiculous.
