Mate.. look at your tenancy agreement the next time you rent a place.
Landlords have every right to initiate the eviction process in the event of missed payment(s).
It's a pay rent or quit notice (so within the 3 days given), not a notice for termination without cause (which would be more like 30-60 days of your city even allows it).

I totally understand. He's just unreasonable. I offered him more money for the inconvenience. But that didn't register in his head. Most landlords are definitely not like that. Someone must've pissed him off that day. Because he wouldn't allow me to talk. Anywho, found a way better place. With a very reasonable, and polite landlord. I told her what my other landlord did and she said that's ridiculous. Glad she agrees.

Look at it from his point of view. If you work somewhere and you need the income, and they just tell you that for company reasons you will not get paid for another week, are you going to be okay with that, or do you see that as a sign of a larger problem, and that you are likely to run into more problems with the company, so you are better off to call it quits before too much damage is done?
