Hunter Melee PVP 3 hits no kill
Hello all... wondering if someone can shed some light on why this guy didn't die after 3 knifes to the head. I'm not a crucible vet... I rarely played it in D1. I like the new crucible but the knifing has me baffled. I don't ever remember having to knife someone three times. I realize my melee wasn't charged but he had a sliver of life left on third hit. At least it seems to me I hit him a third time. I know I whiffed one of them. I'll likely get trolled to death over this but it'll be worth it if someone can explain what happened here. 4 RepliesHey there, The explanation is rather easy. I know it sounds dumb but, your third melee did not connect/hit. In the Destiny 2 Crucible, all Guardians should die in three melee hits under normal circumstances. It certainly looks like the third melee connects, but it doesn't. You can notice it through two signs - first, there is no damage number the third time, and second there is no melee sound. I understand the confusion. As said, it certainly looks like you hit. But it can happen that melees go right above an enemies head. That does not count as a hit in the game, as your knife does not hit the hit box of the enemy Guardian. I hope this clears it up. :-)
