"Power is made irrelevant by the mechanics"
According to the meaning of his words, he implied any power can do it, as long as they can properly do the mechanics.
Also, you need to define 'reasonable' for this scenario. For every 1 power you're down, you lose damage and defenses. This difference can easily make or break a team, especially with how close you cut it during the trials.
I'd love to see you get on a 260 then deal the highest DPS on dogs/Calus, while dying less than everyone else. Oh, and running like a bitch because everything is almost a OHK is not allowed! You have to actually go up and help your team.
As an ignorant dumbass once said,
"Idiot"

He's right though. I had a 260 on my team and he did just as good at staying alive as the 288's on my team due to the buffs.
-
Yeah, for the first encounter where the enemies are 260. Second encounter it's all about stealth and damage, so he wasn't doing as well as the other people, unless the other people had terrible DPS.

Edited by Sen: 9/18/2017 8:00:18 PMNope he still didn't have a problem. His attack might be lower, but he didn't hold us back at all. And each of us had an equal chance of messing up. Mechanics or not. He's was able to stay alive even at Calus. Which is why he was inside instead of outside. So he wouldn't die as much. Lower lights should be inside anyways.

Wow dude, I can smell the pure seething internet rage from here. I guarantee if you ask the OP of the comment we're having a dumb argument over, he will say that when he said what he said he meant a power within the range that the raid is doable in. And as for your suggestion of me jumping in on a 260, I'm sure I would struggle solely because that is literally at (If I remember rightly) the bare minimum of what a Bungie employee recommended. Hell, I even saw people before the raid was even playable asking for players higher than 260.
-
Which means power matters. I don't rage just because someone is stupid; I've worked with the special needs, so I'm used to someone who's... slow. Sorry that you're not smart enough to understand the English language, and that you were incorrect with your pathetic assumptions of my emotions.
-
Damn dude, you're over here with these Ghaul speeches. -blam!- outta here with your superiority complex. If you're so used to working with the "slow" you should realise these are video game forums so people who don't think so much of themselves, like yourself, aren't constantly trying to work at 100% brain capacity.
-
Well I'm obviously superior to you. You're walking around making assumptions about me and then trying to question my intelligence? If you want to try and insult someone, don't be a jackass.
-
I'm not even gonna go into the hypocrisy of what you just said, but I will say this: We both looked at parts of this situation too critically, we were both wrong on aspects, and were both just jackasses arguing over the internet.
-
And you escalated it by trying to insult me for no reason.
-
I was just giving a little parallel to your original comments structure.
-
By calling me an idiot?
-
No, by putting an empty line then a word. I don't know if you're an idiot or not. You could be the next Einstein, or you could be the next Rickety Cricket. Either way we're just two guys having a pointless argument on the forums.
