I Met the Love of my Life Thanks to You Bungie!

So I've thought about doing this for awhile now and I've finally gotten to it. A lot of people find our story interesting so I figured I would share. It all started one evening on Halo Reach. I was playing SWAT and had been for most of the day as it was a usual routine for me at that time. Unfortunately, I was having an off night and not doing so well in most of the matches. A little disheartened I decided to play one more match and if my bad streak continued I would stop for the night. Little did I know, the next match would change my life forever. Started playing and to my surprise started destroying everyone. I noticed someone in my team keeping up with my kills. Back and forth we won every match we played. Teaming up and conquering everyone we played match after match after match. With the huge success of these matches and the in-game chemistry between us I had decided to send them a friend invite. The first step in connecting to someone who would inspire me to be such a better person than I was at that time. Got on the next day and this person was on Halo Reach. Joined up and started wrecking people again. It was astounding how well we worked in game together without even using headsets so I was ready to do just that. Imagine how well we would do giving call-outs! So I popped my headset on and sent an invite. Waited and waited for that sound of someone joining party along with the notification that pops up. Thought they weren't going to join until finally I heard that sound. I started out with a simple "Hey, what's up?". From the other end a very calm and soft voice said "Hello". It was a women and not knowing this until this moment I locked up and was totally caught off guard. I'm a nerd, I didn't talk well to girls...which is why I was at home playing Halo instead of out socializing. I slowly got up the courage to start talking and everything went surprisingly well. Really well actually. By the next day I had more than a K/D to worry about. I got on all excited and antsy to play Halo with this chick that was super good at it! Once again, I popped my headset on, turned my Xbox on, and loaded up Reach. Like the day before, she was on wrecking kids as if it was her day job. This time, she invited me to party first. Before I could even get the game up she had invited me. I remember this so well due to the fact I was kind of flattered she, for one thing, invited me, and because it happened so quickly. With an elevated heart rate I accepted the invite and continued to play SWAT like we had the previous day. This time the conversation got on more personal terms and we talked about where we lived and such. Turns out this mystery girl whom I had never met lived 3 and 1/2 hours away. After finding this out we exchanged Facebooks and she actually called me that night. We talked on the phone for 7 hours straight. I don't know about you but I can't talk to anyone that long on the phone. I'm socially awkward remember? So this went on for a couple weeks until she called me one day and said she was going to come down the following weekend and visit me. As anyone could imagine I was skeptical and being young enough to still live at home my parents were not to fond of the idea. After some thinking and pleading with my parents I got the green light so to speak. Excited and nervous I called her back and told her it was a plan! As you can imagine I was super excited for Friday and to actually sit in the same room and "pwn some noobs" with this gorgeous girl. Friday took forever to arrive but it finally did and with it so did she! We sat in my living room with the presence of my 2 awfully protective parents and played together. Unknown that this sexy, funny, and smart, spartan killing machine of a women would one day be my best friend, my girl friend, my fiance, and to this day my wife and the mother of our children. Six years later..... On October 1st of 2016 I made her my wife. We are fast approaching our 1 year wedding anniversary! We talked about incorporating Halo into our wedding somehow due to the fact we do owe Bungie for meeting each other so we went online and bought the action figures and the accessories for them that we used in game to make as our wedding cake topper. (Link to Pictures Below) We played Destiny 1 together and we run a clan in Destiny 2 together to this day. Needless to say, almost 7 years later, thank you Bungie for creating amazing games and changing two simple lives in the best of ways.
