This doesn't seem right. It just feels like a bunch of fan service and not like bungie. Like the entire thing is stuff people have wanted since the beginning. It also seems odd we have way more information on the next DLC then the first one.But it could be true.

Fan service IS Activision...

True but this seems different. Too satisfying.

I feel like this would be enough to change perspectives on the game instead of letting it be another mimic game like CoD where the game is a meme of itself and nothing truly changes. What you need is arcs of enough story and I feel like we have been shorted on that front. The stories we get are full of blind spots that they seemingly utilize to fill in at a later date, but so many so that they end up overlapping from simple forgetfulness. What they needed was a base story, front and back, or at least a writer with the vision of one. Then side books like halo has for all the things they can't fit into the game. Instead of leaving us with more cliffhangers than the weekly shounen jump.

Because without a stronger base, they can do whatever they want and we will just keep grabbing at whatever brain or eye candy they feed us. Without knowing there is a definitive goal or ending, the story will always go where they choose to place it next, which can be great, but at some point we will undoubtedly look back and see 5 years worth of gaming filler.

That's the difference between what bungie used to do, and what bungievision does now.
