So what's happening to old fans that stuck around the old site since halo? Bungie please respond!
I'll be blunt but the reason I even played destiny in the 1st place was because of Bungie's recognition of older fans. They gave us symbols in the form of emblems to retain our legacy and show it off in game wether it was the shield of heroes, legend, or mythic which is by far what I'm most concerned about. It's almost a week before launch and Bungie has said nothing regarding the transfer of old legacy emblems and it's beginning to sound like we have been deserted for newer fans. I would wish that Bungie could reply to this topic in earnest and tell us what happened. We already know that the triumph emblems are transferring but those aren't as important as old fans. That's just my honest opinion here but I played destiny and got bored at House of wolves. The game was just dull and getting very boring but now destiny 2 looks like a major improvement and I'd like to keep my emblem with this next and hopefully epic chapter. Bungie thinks of old fans as the ones that overcame the darkness of the old site but now it almost feels like we are in that darkness with no light at the end of the tunnel. I'm buying destiny 2 to play with friends but I'd also like to still be able to claim what I and countless others have earned.

Bungie exterminated most of them on the forum of them if they didn't play Destiny 2.

I understand that you want a way to be able to show your Veteran status in the game. To be honest, the emblems are way more important than many of the newer players realize. They are the only way we have to quicly communicate our knowledge, "skill", Lack of social life+++ I kinda expect them to introduce such emblems. If not at release itself, they better be coughing up some eventually ;) Think of it as X-mas. Santa doesnt reply either. Prepare to be supprised :)

Looking at the latest hawtness - and how they've seemingly deleted all evidence of account age/legacy on the site too - I wouldnt be surprised if they just skipped the emblems this time around.

I have the emblems for the charity events that bungie did They're was the one for feeding 40.000 families in Seattle one year. There was the Scottish Kilt thingy Emblem And then of course they're was the Nepal Emblem. I donated around £50 on each. And no I'm not surprised that none of it is carrying over. The Alpha Lupi stuff wont either... There you go....

They stated a long time ago that [b]nothing[/b] from D1 was transferring over except your character's class and appearance. There are similar emblems that will be unlocked from meeting certain criteria from throughout D1's lifespan, but nothing is actually transferring over. You had to meet certain requirements within a certain timeframe to unlock them in D2. Tl;Dr - You want snowflake-status without having actually participated, and also you blame other people for your own lack of following the game's news regarding legacy rewards.

I was a year one player and I honestly don't care as much about what I got for being a year one player because the cool things were like the Dark Below trick speeder which was Trumped by the cool dances that year two players got so, yep had to buy year two... till they made them available by silver. So forget an emblem a sick taunt goes so much further, unless they give year one players a speeder with a turret mount that equips whatever is in your heavy slot while riding ;)

2 RepliesI've been playing their games since long before Halo. I'm still here too. I'd also like my emblem, but I'm still going to play even if it doesn't return. I never had an emblem saying I played pathways, oni, marathon, or myth; yet I still played. I never received an emblem for being one of the "final few" from the halo 2 contest, but I still play. I never received an emblem for playing with the devs on numerous occasions or making countless online friends, but I still play. Long story short... don't be a "fair weather fan". There's a ton of old school gamers on here who would love something like that too. If we get it than great. If not then no biggie. I'm going to enjoy the game and the experience either way.

I'm here. Although because I'm an idiot this isn't my original account. That being said, get over it. Bungie gave Recognition to those that had achieved something before the release of Destiny. Now they are giving Recognition to those that achieved something before the release of Destiny 2. You can't expect them to keep rewarding you for the same thing over and over.

Yeah :( I totally agree. I dont see the same harkening back to history that the old Bungie used to do. There isnt the same sillyness in Bungie games anymore. No weird easter eggs, no Griffball like games in Destiny, and no cheekiness on profile pics and stuff.
