Like I said I don't see how it would cause people to not talk to others in Destiny. If anything text chat is a little feature that could work alongside voice chat. Maybe I'm wrong and it would be terrible, but it's just something I'd want since I have a chat pad (and yes I know most people don't have one), but again, it is completely optional. Oh, and btw, although I really want this feature, I don't want to push it down people's throats. It works well in some games, I wonder if it would work well in D2...
