My takeaway from this post is that you're upset that the platform that can support specific video capabilities is receiving said video capabilities while the platform that can't support it isn't getting it.
Is that right? It's kind of confusing. I'm more inclined to take the word of the people that are making the game to know what they are talking about in terms of performance capabilities over some forum-surfer (like myself) that says "Oh but title X on PS4 Probiotic does 60 FPS, so they're wrong.".
...and PC is being promoted to "golden goose" because it is Bungie's first venture into the PC realm in a decade or more and they want to deliver a respectable experience for PC users, so they are committing themselves to make sure that it goes well. What is so wrong with the team wanting a solid experience to be had?
If you really want the same experience that the PC users will be getting, then maybe it is time that you invest in a decent gaming rig.

I'm upset because they aren't being honest about the distinguishing features between "Point A and Point B" Their cloudy responses to direct questions make me feel like this is going to be 3 more years of D1, except this time it "looks prettier" Bungie have been anything but honest with the Destiny product. Like ever. I would take back everything I've said about them if they officially, publicly stated "We can't keep up with content production. We cut the game up into pieces we deem manageable and resell it later to keep up with demand." - - It's an awful practice, but the transparency would be appreciated. I'd like to have a proper gaming PC, but I can't afford it. I'd assume this is the #1 reason why anyone who doesn't have a gaming PC, doesn't have one. They are simply superior in every single way to consoles.

Edited by RPColten: 8/17/2017 3:12:19 AMWhat does DLC and transparency have to do with disliking the fact that it won't be locked at 60 FPS? Your post was in regards to PC players getting what would be seen as a superior product, and by technical standards that is true, and the resulting grief that comes from seeing a development studio put what appears to be more effort into a 'new' platform rather than the currently existing and 'original' one that you feel is being disrespected. None of what you put forward in the main post has anything to do with DLC and cut-content. If DLC strife and cut-content is an important issue for you, then that should have been brought up in the original post. Just saying.

You could probably afford a decent gaming rig if you stopped buying consoles.

it's the up-keep that i can't afford - - consoles aren't terrible, if i got a Gaming PC, i wouldn't settle for a "good one" - - i have a "good console" i'm talking about the 900$ graphics cards to run "ultimate settings" and the 700$ processors to run MMO style games; i'm an "era" purchaser, i don't buy consoles until the last iteration of their kind, and then play all the games i've missed during the sale period, example : i haven't played xbox since the 360, but intend to buy the Scorpio this year and play all the games i've missed the last 5/6 years the type of PC i would deem an acceptable "replacement" to my console costs around 2500$ - it would run pretty much any game currently existing in 4k, 60fps(min) on max settings - - this amounts to about 5 generations of consoles, and as everyone knows, PC specs/hardware update bi-annually so...
