I am going to say it's good, but I also need to point out some things as well.
For one, it has been marred badly by what could have been, gamer's do not take well to broken promises and people still hate it for that fact alone.
Then there is the whole cut content thing with the TDB and HoW's. I am sorry, but there is no denying that they were cut especially when there were areas for them fully fleshed out for them in the alpha/beta, not to mention the multiple videos showing the reef, and there was that completed map that even showed the exact position of the missions from both on the planets they spanned.
There was also some mishandling with the game itself, but that is not to say that everything that Bungie has done as just been a farce either as, in some areas, they have legitimately tried to get better. They still should converse with the players more as well and take legitimate constructive criticism ((none of this "I hate X, X is stupid, change it BS".
But with all this I also think that if it hadn't been for the whole debacle with some of their team members that worked on D1 leaving and taking assets from the game maybe they wouldn't have had to basically scramble 6 months prior to D1's release to meet contractual obligations. Again, not saying this is right or good, nor am I defending Bungie or saying the game would have been any better over the years if this had happened, but it did happen and it might have had something to do with it.
I've enjoyed it overall, for better or worse, and I believe in giving anything a second chance, again for better for worse.
