It was... emphasis on WAS.
I'm sure I'll get lots of hate, but D1 had it's ups and downs.... in the end pvp balance was the main issue among disgruntled players. However, most of those players were just bad at adapting.
D2 then took the wrong direction. Instead of making a deeper more customizable game, Bungie took the other route and narrowed it down, stripped out the fun, and gave us balanced boredom.
Bungie should of rolled with D1 and added features that enable players to counter meta rather than just wait for the nerfs. Give players their own keys to unlock greatness and variety. D2 should of been more weapons, more subclasses, more races, more abilities, more weapon mods, more armor mods, more ways to choose your skill path, more ways to customize and mold guardians into your personal play style.
But, no... we got pop-tarts instead.

Let's keep the speculation for D2 to a minimum, I'm talking about Destiny 1 here. But I will definitely agree the D2's load out etc was caused by Destiny 1's PvP crybabies lol

Edited by Spaceman: 8/15/2017 12:15:55 AMHehe. For me Destiny 1 is fun for the sole fact that I love trying new setups... new configurations... and new weapons. It was about being able to change your style and modify things to your liking. I expected more of that in D2.
