College.
In less than a week, I'm driving out of town to start university. I'll be dual majoring in architecture and architectural engineering.
I'm open to any generic advice about school or whatever, but more importantly I need to find 9 hours worth of music to listen to during the trip out there.
The playlist I'm building has a lot of Phil Collins, Elton John, Hall & Oates, etc., and transitions into other stuff like Childish Gambino, Electric Guest, and Pale.
I'd really appreciate help finding some good music to listen to. The end or w/e.

You should want to owe as little as possible when you graduate, and really knuckle down and get rid of it once you do. Older you will be more thankful than you know.

I really like Alice in Chains for long drives or some actual blues. If I start to nod off, metal & not that screaming shit either, heavy energy music. Change up your genre everytime you get tired & add a comedy playlist. Hard to fall asleep laughing. Go buy a shit load of condoms. My college had an STD rate of 70%. Make sure if you are a gun owner, you can actually have your gun on property, you would not believe how many kids get popped for not reading the fine print. Watch out for the Freshman 15, limit your pizza & ramen. If this is your first time away from the folks & on your own, it is ok to cut loose a little bit, but be smart about it. Party Saturday night, use Friday to knock out your class work because it is a bitch trying to concentrate through a hangover. Hydrate, hydrate, hydrate after a night of partying & get lots of rest. Have an exit in mind for every party. If it starts to get too wild, get out asap, you do not want to meet Officer Friendly, cause he is not friendly, you are not smarter than him & yes, he really does hate you for no reason. If a cop shows up to the party & asks ya'll politely turn it down, wait 5 minutes after he leaves then walk home, that is usually the first sign ya'll are about to get hit. If you want to get shitfaced, safest place is at home with a buddy & a gaming console or computer, just put away your cool breakable shit first. Have fun, be safe & have fun!

2 RepliesWhenever you're studying for a particular unit, listen to only one type of music. When studying a different unit, listen to a different type of music. Might help with recall.
