New Reward System For Activities With Increased Difficulty Concept

So, I had an idea for a different reward system. I don't think that Destiny 2 needs a new reward system, I just had an idea. Here's my idea. There can be a super hard version of a strike or of the raid, every week. And the reward would be based off of the percent of people who loaded the strike or raid, and successfully completed the strike or raid. It would be like this: If 70% of the people who loaded the strike or raid completed it, the reward would be lower. However: If only 10% of the people who loaded the strike or raid completed it, the reward would be better. This is just spitballing and just a concept, its not real and I don't know if it should be yet. I'm sure it would work both ways for the community and Bungie because it might attract more players, and the people will get rewards. It seems balanced in the sense if you have a rating by Bungie done by the Bungie team, on that strike/raid with the modifications, the can say, "Ok, we expect 50% of people to be able to do this." than the rewards for the people who did it earlier are balanced accordingly. Let me know if you have any ideas to add on to this concept, I would really appreciate it. Thanks for Reading this post and maybe giving my idea some thought.

 • Well, for some people who can only play on weekends, like some students in school, Nightfalls and Endgame content would present bad loot, compared to those who completed the activity early. The concept is unfair. However, instead of making the rewards population dependent, how 'bout making it objective based, like how Nightfalls have a timer and achievements. Say if you had completed the Nightfall within 30 minutes and achieved gold. You'd have a higher chance for better loot. However, if you go over the time, the better loot will be locked, and the below-average to average loot would frequent the loot table.

 • There is a hard version that comes out weekly, Nightfall. I do not care for this idea. Rewarding players for not being able to complete a strike/raid is ridiculous imo. I'm all for having harder modes especially after the excitement wears off a bit.
