Well done, Bungie. Well done, indeed.

I've been playing the beta for a time, and I must say, I'm very pleased with how it is. Bungie is one of a handful of companies that ACTUALLY listen to their audience. Here are a two things I particularly liked from both facets of the game. PvE: Ok, where to start? PvE has changed significantly from the original game. I, for one, LOVE the notion of tougher to kill enemies that have been implemented. It enables strikes, for example, to be more team oriented, and makes reckless moves more of a gamble. PvP: I also enjoy playing competitive mode, and not having to worry about getting my nose sniped off as soon as I approach a corner. The fact that these games focus on primary weapons allows for more of a fair fight-- rather than being able to tank with a shotgun. I would go on, but my tiny phone keyboard is a hassle to deal with. Overall, I'm pleased with what was delivered. Well done, Bungie, well done. Edit: I've never edited a post before but 'eergoes. I would also like to argue the point of a slow super: I think the move was two-fold-- 1. To make the game harder 2. To go along with the narrative with the crippled traveler Opinions? P.s. Thanks for the positivity, brothas.

  • I realize people who are complaining about enemies being too tanky have never read the grimore cards. The cabal lore is defined around order and strongholds. They pack into a location, fortify up, then slowly move forward. However the red legion is the more "spec ops" Force for them, taking risks and specialising in defensive seige tactics. You also have to remember, when you first made a character in D1, do you remember fighting the captains. This guy's soaked some damage with the under-leveled guns you were provided with. A lot of players that came from D1 into the beta were maxed light, max level, had a feel for the skills and their class and we're used to melting the enemies face off. I agree with this post that I love how enemies are more tanky, you can't just run up and hip fire a auto rife at these guys. Take a mid ranged position, aim for weak point, burst fire auto for maximum effectiveness. When the taken got introduced we had to change our playstyle up a bit, as for every enemy you faced in D1. Charging straight ahead at a phalax won't work unless you are looking to get smashed into a wall, you had to change up the way you played for a split second to kill him. I do agree cooldowns need a sizeable buff, but gun damage is right where it needs to be. Some may argue the fact that "well our weapons were legendary and a exotic, it should be doing some damage". You were fighting to hold the tower, if you went in guns blazing and enemies died from just you looking at them, would it feel like you were on the brink of loosing everything? We have yet to play the final product, they have 2 months to patch things up, we can tell they are listening to us cuz they announced a increase in power ammo. Also just a little side note. Anyone saying the shotgun doesn't feel like a heavy has either never used it or never experienced D1 shotguns, the one they gave you absolutely shredded ads. #Rantover
