The posts about how there are only 2 genders and about transgender people shouldn't be getting banned unless their genuinely offensive (which the majority aren't), not just cause a SJW reported it

There is no need to bring sexual orientation into this game. people are born male or female, everything else is a choice, I don't have a problem with transgender, but I don't think a video game is the proper forum for that issue, especially one that little kids play on.

1 ReplyLol hmm. Well last I checked gender is a social construct - like saying the color blue is for boys and pink is for girls etc. Sex refers to your biological/hormonal differences. I think people are butchering the definitions of these like they did with race/ethnicity.

The fact is that transgender people suffer from a **recognized** mental disorder for which there is no treatment other than allowing them to live as the gender they believe they are. For the sake of example, I'll assume you're male. Imagine waking up one morning....feeling JUST like you do right now.....yet when you walk to the mirror you see a female body looking at you After a few minutes of initial fascination, the anger and frustration from the mismatch between what you feel on the inside and what you see on the outside will start to kick in. Now imagine living in a world that insists you have to live as that woman they see on the outside, because you wanting to live as the male you belive yourself with every fiber of your being to be.....makes them uncomfortable. Or inconveniences them. For the sake of example, lets assume you're heterosexual....with respect to the gender you believe yourself to be (gender identity). Imagine the frustration you're going to feel when you start having to fend off the amorous attention of men, who believe you to be a woman. Also imagine the frustration of having the heterosexual women whose attention you want, ignore you.....because when they look at you they see another woman. This is at taste of how someone who truly suffers from Gender Dysphoria (the medical term for "transgender") experiences life. The problem is that we here in the US like to make everything a moral issue....when the reality is that many things are medical issues. Someone who suffers from Gender Dysphoria wanting to live with an "outside" that matches what they feel on the "inside" is no different than a woman who has undergone a mastectomy for breast cancer wanting to have reconstructive plastic surgery in order to restore her to a pre-illness body image. Compassion for the suffering of others is not weakness.

13 RepliesIt's a continuum. There are people born with both sets of genitals. Or neither. There are "males" with XY chromosomes that are nearly indistinguishable from females physically, with female anatomy due to hormonal issues in utero. There are other examples. It's very silly to insist that human sexuality is so binary. The people that feel the need to do so, especially in a particularly inappropriate space like a video game forum, do so out of fear and/or to be antagonistic. It's really quite sad and eventually, time will show them to be on the wrong side of history like so many other social issues that conservatives have opposed.

There are only two genders. Either male or female. A transgender is a male transformed to a female so she is still a female.
