Based on the Destiny 2 beta, which PVP do you prefer thus far? Destiny or Destiny 2?
I'm still trying to keep an open mind, but I definitely like 6v6 better. More chaotic, much less of a chance to run into a complete fire-team, etc. It's perplexing why they would make this change, but I'm curious what the rest of the community thinks.
If anything, I don't see why it needs to be an all-or-nothing approach. Why not have both 4v4 and 6v6 options?

Current totals across 3 polls (bungie.net, gamefaqs Destiny 2 PS4, gamefaqs Destiny 2 Xone). 646 total votes. 357 votes for Destiny 1 PVP 289 votes for Destiny 2 PVP

I can actually win a 1v1 in D2. That says something. And no, nobody on my team was behind me, Zone A was empty.
-
Little did we realize that when Ghaul took our light, he'd be taking our ability to use supers in PVP...
-
I like both of them in different ways. The slow TTK, single-chance super, and teamshots are interesting challenges that force gamers to adapt, or they will fail in D2. Control is a chaotic sweatfast in D2. It is no wonder that most of the Twitch streamers are playing this match type.

Bump for the open beta crowd, we might get over 500 votes on this poll!

Not surprising so many people like D2 pvp There are a lot of bad players here
-
I only picked D1 beacause Year 1 was so much fun. D2 brought back memories of Halo 4, when i first started playing multiplayer because of 4v4 and slower time to kill. So its really close but nothing can top year 1.

I like both pvp's but for different reasons. Destiny 1 POSITIVES + 6v6 3v3 and Rumble + Faster ability cooldowns + No team shooting NEGATIVES - Shoulder charge - Sticky grenades doing one shot - Secondary weapons used as primaries - Gunplay - Lag - Bad weapon balance - Ghost bullets - Unlimited ammo with exotics Destiny 2 POSITIVES + Gunplay and how it feels + Two primary slots and the power slot + Sticky grenades doesn't one shot + Shoulder charge doesn't one shot + UI information on the Super and the power ammo NEGATIVES - Only 4v4 - Abilities don't do enough damage especially grenades and malee - Team shooting - Slow cooldowns on all abilities and supers ( this is not the Destiny I fell in love with, it's COD or any other FPS game) This one is major! - Feels like it doesn't show who has skills and who doesn't (maybe because of the team shooting ) I stopped playing COD because Destiny was more fun, but now I don't know, because this feel more like a regular FPS game which is really sad :( There's more that I'm not satisfied with Destiny 2, but that's more class specific and not pvp related.

Destiny 1 pvp is way better than this dumpster fire they have in the beta.

Edited by Slaynite: 7/20/2017 5:41:33 AMD2 100%. Place the emphasis on teamwork, teamshot, rotation and gun skill. That's what pvp should be about. Not how high your intellect and discipline are. Make people think about when they use the one super then get per game. Make it strategic. Love it. Less spam, more skill.
-
I would take year 1 crucible right now and wouldn't even buy D2 lol.
-
D2= Team shoot simulator Of course scrubs are going to love it. They can get a 1 kd now. Lol @ gun skill.
-
DESTINY 2 pvp is like COD 😠
-
D2 and it's not even close.
-
Even in the current sweaty sidearm meta of destiny 1, I still find it better than Destiny 2, Destiny 1 is fast paced and many modes like 3v3,2v2,free for all,6v6. But all destiny 2 has is 4v4, it's boring and slow

D2 pvp destroys d1 pvp.
-
Well D2 PVP just reminds me of other PVP shooter games. D1 PVP is unique and I think a lot of people played it because they liked its differences.

Wow, 51/49 split. If this were the EU referendum then the Mail would be shouting that "the people" have spoken...

Destiny 2's PvP has this awkward thing going on. It's good that gunplay has a bigger focus, but weapons have been made so weak that it's much easier to escape from a firefight. The slow recharge speed on abilities also limits how much crowd control you can do. This means that the advantage is stacked in favor of teamshotting over anything else. I personally prefer D1's PvP in its prime over this. It just doesn't feel as satisfying with how much our characters have been toned down in power level.

Nothing beats year 1 Destiny PVP in terms of fun factor.

The more I play it, the more I've adapted to it. The first few rounds were rough. By the second day, playing on a different class made it a little bit more bearable. Intrigued to get more weapon variety and gear variety to see how that plays a part in PVP. But then again, I'm more of a PVE dude myself.

Is there a both are horse shit option?
