My Thoughts So Far

PVP and PVE Here's my average player take on pvp so far: Guns: Pulse rifles are very strong. Scouts have huge aim assist. Hand canons are ok, but honestly the Solar exotic one is op man. Seriously. SMGs are kind of shit. Haven't tried sidearms yet. Shotguns are better than anything other than fusions which are the best. Snipers have lots of aim assist, but the flinch is ridiculous and frustrating. Grenade launchers are garbage and there's no indicator of where you're going to land a shot. Oh, and autos are pretty decent. Playing pvp: Ok, so I do like it. I wouldn't say I dislike it. But I do think 4v4 gets boring quickly. It doesn't have that D1 intensity to it really. All of the games with decent players end up being: stand on B and team shot while popping Titan shields. I'm sure the gameplay will change once everyone is familiar, but that's my current view. Also, the new HUD was supposed to give us all this information, but honestly I don't even look at it. Just run in and shoot the dude with the team and that's it. And the damn lag is terrible at times. Again. No surprise there I guess. The Maps: I like them The Abilities and Classes: Warlocks kind of suck. I do like dawnblade, but the jump is terrible. It's so bad. Warlock Garrison cooldown is way too long and I end up not even using it. Rifts are fun, but when you really need to be very strategic where you place it. Damage rift doesn't do anything really. Titans are underwhelming to me. This is disappointing because I was really looking forward to the Sentinal. But when I realized that you can only throw the shield once a super...I shook my head and started a hunter. Striker is just awkward. Idk what more to say about it. Hunter are boss. Idk why people are complaining about Arcstrider. It's amazing. Performing a dodge that reloads your weapon is very strong. Used it a bunch so far. The super itself is like blade dancer and has to be used at the right time or you'll get team shot. But it's pretty strong as well. PVE I enjoyed the story mission. I think the enemies have a good damage scaling and health pool. I like how it progresses. I do NOT like the 'survive 3 waves' part for two reasons: 1 it's not organic. Why am I surviving 3 waves. Why not just survive 'the cabal' until it progresses? 2 you don't have to stand in Zavala's bubble. That's just dumb. It should kill you if you don't stand in it during the rocket phases. Other than that it was very good and I can't wait to play the whole game. Guns: Elemental weapons are fun to switch to and bring down shields. I do think that the extra damage should only apply to the matches shield type. Right now if I shoot a void shield with a solar weapon it comes down just as fast as if I use a void weapon. All weapon types feel good and I don't have a problem using any of them. Power Ammo: Is there power ammo in this game because I haven't seen it drop yet.... No really. I have not received any and I've done the strike twice and the story mission 3 times. Abilities: No issue. It's pve... I do like Sentinal for PVE.... The Strike: At first I loved it. But then I realized I loved it because it was on Nessus and I wasn't familiar with Nessus. The actual strike is...well it's a strike. There's nothing really awesome about it. It looks awesome and sounds awesome...but is it awesome? Eh. Maybe part of it was never getting any power ammo. Pot shotting Atheons little brother is only fun once or twice and then you just want him to die. But there you are with your hand canon and you just want to use it on yourself.
