There are people on these forums who seriously don't believe that cheating exists in games... 40k is more than some games have as an entire community, AND THIS IS ONLY THE NUMBER OF PEOPLE WHO WERE INVESTIGATED AND POPPED... Anyone who has ever played trials knows that cheating is a serious epidemic in Destiny... yet on the back of ignorance, Bungie continues to sweep it under the rug. I understand that they don't want to scare people or make them think cheating is rampant, however, it's as simple as staying quiet, and popping offenders with the Banhammer! I seriously think that Bungie should Perma Ban and post the names of cheaters like Blizzard does.

Valve doesn't IP ban only blizzard does that and only after it been proven they have been cheating not because a child cries after getting beaten in a lagging game.

40k banned, do the math, we're not talking about false reports here.
-
Im aware of what valve did but none of those were IP bans and most were back logged bans and most were only temp bans not perma bans which bungie also does. Unless Bungie console bans someone there nothing stopping cheaters from making new accounts, just like what happened with valve bans

Destiny is free to play. Cheaters can just switch to a new account.

Blizzard and Valve Ban your IP and system Mac Addresses. If you're a dedicated cheater, you'll have to change residence and ISP. When cheating is actually regulated, it makes people think twice about ruining other people's fun.

IP's belong to the ISP. That doesn't make any sense. Plus someone that's a "dedicated" cheater probably can figure out how to use a vpn and spoof their mac id.

They can block whatever IPs that they want, it just sucks if that IP gets assigned to someone else that wasn't cheating.
