Locked loadouts? LMAO now they really wanna stick it to PVE players. "So you think you are going to swap between RL and Sniper during the same activity? Yeah -BLAM!- you." But you won't miss those extra power weapons, I'm sure of it.... Because they'll be garbage anyways. They have to be. They had to be balanced for PVP...

 • Pls … how is this for pvp. Luke Smith said some, which meant each mode would be picked on whether it would be locked or not.

 • You seen any raze lighter or gally gameplay yet champ? Oh that's right Gary destroyed all our shit well damn now what? Also pve static weapons are actually better than pvp weapons (your whole shotgun perk argument made no sense those weren't even the rolls you wanted in year one I read the whole thing) I'm referring to static raid weapons chaos dogma 3 taps flinches you and stun locks you just from impact. Didn't need a balance or a nerf. You sound really pve salty and you seem to follow the code of "it's pvp players fault" it's actually not. It's low tier pve players hoping in iron banner or trials getting ripped and complaining I have NEVER seen any pvp nerf or complaint post that had a positive KD the thing that kills me is pve players point the finger but never own up to the shit that they got removed nerfed from the game.... Typical I guess if you spent 3 years shooting a giant alien in the same static 6 person strategy you'd probably start to loose your mind as well. Be a shame if they had to deal with variation and skill gap NERFF!!!!!!!!

 • Well said about the casuals getting ripped in pvp and not learning proper counters to certain guns/abilities and then going straight to the forums to cry nerf. On another note tho, double stickies are annoying as fuh right now.. lol

 • No its not. It makes things challenging for entirely the wrong reason. To say its a benefit to PVP is to say "hey, you know what would benefit PVE players? If they simply ran out of ammo ALL the time. That would really increase the challenge level - they ought to love that a lot!" It's just stupid IMO. Too much has already been done to take the fun out of PVE. Weakened supers, weakened guns, removing a second power weapon from our loadout, reducing subclass customization choices in PVE because of PVP. At some point you have to say "Okay, that is enough." And that moment basically came when Luke Smith confirmed every PVE players fears: PVE will not be separated from PVP. PVE is going to be bland and boring AF already due to changes made for the sake of PVP. Something like this simply isn't necessary in PVE.

 • I don't think your right on a lot of those issues, but rather than get into a point by point argument on something that really neither of us has rock solid proof of (other than two facts: 1) guns will have static rolls, and that means that gun perks and gun base stats are not likely to synergize well like many guns did in D1; and 2) the fact that there are less perk nodes on guns, meaning less modifiers which make it easier to balance in PVP), let me go about this by asking you a different question: Did you start playing this game in Y2/Y3 or in Y1?

 • You mean those two opinions, those are your opinions. I started destiny in an Alpha at E3 2014, played everything since.

 • Actually no. They have leaked information about static rolls and we KNOW from how "op" weapons worked in D1 that the weapons people thought were overpowered were those that had synergistic perks, like getting Shot Package on a high impact shotgun which already had good range, combined with a damage modifier like crowd control, final round, etc. Or a HC with range+ stability perks + Rangefinder. Some weapons with some rolls simply won't appear because they will ruin balance in PVP. And if they do appear, they will get nerfed very quickly anyways. As for less perk nodes, your right. THAT may change between now and launch, but from what we can see of gameplay thus far is that weapons, subclasses, etc. all have less options and variation. And in fact, this was necessary to make PVP more balanced. Those two things are fact, not opinion. You can choose to accept it or deny it, but the fact of the matter is that generally speaking, all our power in PVE will have to be toned down for the sake of balance in PVP. We have seen Bungie do this the last two years and guess what? Nothing has changed in the new game. No separation of PVE from PVP, no firing of anyone in the sandbox team, nothing but the loadout scheme has changed. The only thing that has changed? Is Bungie has been even MORE open and transparent about placing a higher priority on PVP. That most certainly means our guns will be weak in PVE. If not weak, then they will fail to excite in the way guns did in Y1.
Some weapons with some rolls simply won't appear because they will ruin balance in PVP.
That's where you're wrong. Overly synergistic perks caused balance issues because of the existence of subpar perks. You simply cannot balance some arbitrary Shotgun A with no range perks and Shotgun A with rangefinder/hammeroforged/shotpackage. Either everything but the best will have to suck, or the best will have to outshine everything. Hand-picked rolls allows (theoretically) for proper specialization in weapons because you don't have to worry about the lowest common denominator for that model. And before you "muh PvP" me, this is why ToM was nerfed. This is why Gjallarhorn was nerfed. This is the game-design reason you couldn't carry your gear to D2. When you have a majority at one power level and a minority, though sizeable, at another, you're going to have trouble with encounter design. Casuals aren't going to enjoy bosses with a boatload of health. The hardcore aren't going to enjoy burning through everything in seconds (at least, when they're not grinding).
