The title says it all. And before I have fanboys for the consoles and filthy Pc elitists (seriously, nobody likes you.) blowing up the comment section because I play Xbox, I'm not taking sides, I simply find this pitifully immature and something that will cause Microsoft to lash back back childishly which will only have a repetitive cycle.
I have lots of friends that play Xbox with me, and others that play PlayStation. And for those that do play PlayStation, they are respective and our insults are merely jokes about exclusives or other nonsense. This has been a silent pact amongst us all, for the Console Wars have gone on FAR too long.
This video was oddly suggested to me on YouTube a few days ago. (I suppose from watching the Xbox Gold Games for July, which look pretty good for an Indie game fan :) I watched it, then watched it again. What Sony did was clever film design wise, but snobby, obnoxious, and incredibly immature, fully aware of what the comment sections would look like. (Don't visit them if you do watch the video.)
I'm disappointed by this terribly, after their disagreement to cross-play, (After they could have been different from Microsoft.) and now this smack in the face to Xbox players out of nowhere. This only instigated younger players and idiotic hotheaded college students to FURTHER continue these incredibly old, and tiring Console Wars. It's a shame, as we all now know Microsoft will have something, if they already don't have something ready, to obnoxiously smack Playstation players with. We won't live to see the Console Wars end, but we certainly can make a choice to not participate in them and look like imbeciles.
"My black box is better than yours!"
"Mine has a different system layout!"
"We get free games every month!"
"U-uh, well...so do we, and we have more, and better exclusives!"
"Well we have better graphics!"
Oh heavens, because we live in a day and age where graphics are so close to resembling real life. Isn't that a marvel? Truly, I bet older gamers will tell you how much games have evolved from these last 30 years.
You do something about these silly arguments if our immature developers aren't going to. All they care about is your money. If you haven't noticed, they're still charging us to talk to our friends and play online, a KEY feature in most games, if not the main feature nowadays...
