California has shown how tolerant it is by creating a "Travel Ban" on states the infringes on "LBGTWHATEVER" rights.
They said
California Legislature determined that "California must take action to avoid supporting or financing discrimination
So they banned states like
Texas
Kansas
Kentucky
Mississippi
North Carolina
South Dakota
Tennessee
And my home state of Alabama.
What childish and mind numbing law that is quite Irony considering how they want to stop the Trumps travel ban but issues their own. So much tolerance.
Of course the states banned from California's state sponsored travel had something to say and we will be making quips and memes for awhile.
It’s funny how the very state that is so adamantly against keeping terrorists out of our country – they oppose the president’s travel ban – now wants to keep Californians out of Texas,” Marc Rylander, communications director for Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton, told the Houston Chronicle. “I guess that’s California logic.”
Also is a Tennessee resolution that makes jabs at California as well.
“WHEREAS, California’s attempt to influence public policy in our state is akin to Tennessee expressing its disapproval of California’s exorbitant taxes, spiraling budget deficits, runaway social welfare programs, and rampant illegal immigration,” the resolution said.
This whole thing is a crap show, that only could have been thought of the childish minds of regressive lefty California lawmakers.

EDIT: Two things
Since so many Regressives are having a hissy fit I will put a TLDR
California claims to be progressive and tolerance, then they make a idiotic political statement banning state sponsored travel (with exceptions but honestly that's a moot point) to States they don't agree with and not being tolerant to people with different values.
It's political, it's stupidity incarnate.

Edited by Catty_Wampus22: 6/29/2017 5:49:41 AMIt seems like the right are the ones bring childish. No one is prevented from visiting those states, just California won't pay for it. Pay for your own travel expenses. This is not the same thing as Trumps travel ban. His excludes people from coming, this says you can come and go but you have to pay for it yourself. Talk about babies. First there's all these posts about violent leftists, then they protest peacefully and you still bitch and moan?? The right cries and cries "why should I help pay for your kids/food/healthcare...." now you cry "why won't the government pay for my travel expenses waaaaaaaaaaah" Make up your minds please.

So you want the government to fund people to travel places? I thought you republicans wanted small government...

California is full of bigots.

I just got back home to Missouri from my vacation from CA. If they think they can prevent me from seeing my elderly family. I would like to see them try

I don't know why Trump supporters are going on about Travel restrictions when only a few of you own passports.

Edited by shell: 6/29/2017 4:53:34 PMI wasn't aware until now how much discrimination is actually legal in Kentucky. I just looked it up. Governor Matt Bevin recently signed a law that straight up allows gay students to get bullied in public schools. They can also be banned from extracurricular activities. I don't agree with California restricting travel, but seriously, fuck my states lawmakers.

It's just a stupid situation. Discriminate against the discriminators! Yay, discrimination!

Watch this...
no one cares
Wow, Marc Rylander is just as much an idiot as the majority of the people in Max's thread. I don't care if you dislike what they are doing, but please don't be so overwhelming stupid about.
What childish and mind numbing law that is quite Irony considering how they want to stop the Trumps travel ban but issues their own. So much tolerance.
What would be ironic is if California started turning away people from the relevant discriminatory states. What's actually happening isn't anything like that though, so... Say what you will about California's policy, but comparing it to Trump's travel ban is incredibly dumb. They're completely different at every level.

Edited by Number1 Casual: 6/29/2017 10:28:22 AMGood. Discrimination should not be tolerated. Shame on those States.
