Why complain about the new weapons?
Sidearms are primaries now. You can still run Hand Cannon, Sidearm, Rockets. Your loadout is the same.

1 ReplyWhat I'm looking forward to the most is running some combination of auto rifle or SMG and scout rifle in the same loadout, finally. Also, finding that magical sweetspot where if I'm [i]just[/i] close enough, yet far away enough, my grenade launcher will work like an extra-long-range shotgun.

I chose my armor because I like it, not for the perks. I've infused God level armor into my current loadout because the raid armor for the titan looks like shit

My loadout is auto rifle, shotgun, machine gun. Doesn't exist in D2

The weapons are not going to be the problem. It's the world's worst sandbox in gaming history that will destroy D2 like they did D1. The only difference is, they have easier access to destroy it faster then D1 now.

I'll probably just run a Scout Rifle, Hand Cannon, and Sniper Rifle and then use my super for crowd control since those are my favorite weapons. I'll still change it up though.

3 RepliesFunny, seems to be a hot topic now too on many threads and I appreciate the humor. I see lots of people complaining about PvE and two primaries and I don't get it. While less powerful I can guarantee that they will be playtesting and scaling boss and raid dps checks accordingly. No way enemies are going to be as tanky as D1 and that's a good thing. Health pools will be adjusted accordingly and perhaps a greater focus can be put on mechanics as opposed to heavy/special stand in one spot dps checks. There are plenty of flaws to focus on in destiny and two primaries definitely isn't one of them.

I don't know, the shotguns and snipers look the same in pve, no buffs or anything. The strike boss also looks like a bullet sponge boss.

2 RepliesPeople are complaining about loadout changes, not the weapons. I usually run scout, sniper and machine gun or RL....so I'm pissed. They're taking my fave weapon (T-Lord) away....the whole HMG archetype is GONE. Not cool.

6 RepliesMy issue with the new weapon system is the fact that i dont really see myself needing to use a energy weapon. Depending on how tough a shield is in standard missions, I'd probably just keep using my kinetic weapon before remembering i have a energy weapon. My main want is to have energy weapons be more then "use this for shields". For secondaries in D1, your, or at least my thought is to use secondaries for shields and tougher enemies. Or if you just wanna shotgun enemies consistently (ish). Who knows, maybe there will be more use for energy weapons in the final game, maybe not.
