In destiny there's a strong fan base for both pve and pvp. What is the cream of the crop for most destiny players is trying to go flawless in trials for the first time. It's a fun amazing experience but unfortunately there are people out there who take this demand and use it for their own benefit. I'm talking about those people who ask for money to carry people to the light house. For one I personally don't see why you need to go flawless over 100 times I'm sure you won't get anything new. Second having people pay you for carries just for the light house ruins the community by taking away experience and actual competition. There is no challenge in trials when the order are one guy is getting carried by two dudes with really high stats against a average pvp player or a few friends trying they're luck. When you pay for a carry or put out offers to carry for money you kill the community by taking away competition and any source of joy. It's no longer random newbs or pros going against each other it eventually gets up to mostly veteran players and carriers on trials because those who carry eliminate competition for other players by making it harder for most people to enjoy the game mode and earn a flawless just because you want easy money from people fed up with the bull you put on the community by trying to eliminate true competition between legitimate players.

3 RepliesWell this poll shows how many stupid people are in the community... Seriously guys if carries are unfair would yall rather face stacked teams repeatedly. Lol grow up.

I can see both side of the argument but my take is this... Regardless there would be people playing pvp that pub stomp on everyone. Creating a rift between casuals and pros... To me, I think it is cool that people are trying, and some are succeeding at gaming and streaming. Some people may not care as they get carried, but I think it has created a learning curve that helps more players than it does hurt. People learn from playing with others. I can cry about lag all day when things are not going my way, but then you see these players that are talented, right next to you and dealing with the same things and adapting. They lose, they win, but it does bring a sense of reality to a players mind. I laughed at the ideal of it for 2 years, but then I just started watching streamers to see how I could improve. Got to play with them and they all are pretty awesome people just trying to help. Sure, there are those that are annoying but that is life... people are like that regardless. But there are kids that never could do it alone, or do not have friends to play with... and I have watched these streamers boost their personalities and game play all from just helping them hit the goal. I think it is awesome for gaming. My 12 year old son could not do it alone because he does not comprehend what get gud is... he is just playing, but if the streamers I know helped him to the light house... it would be beyond awesome because I know how cool the streamers I know would treat him and get him that ultimate reward. That's my take... but like I said, I see both sides. I get it with those that want to reach the ultimate goal on their own with their friends... but people need to realize that most streamers are just people wanting to stream and are good at the game and just help people to meet people.

a real carry would be on purpose losing every match. that would help other people get a free win.

2 RepliesSuch an easy fix. If a character has gone flawless that week, and they want to keep queuing on that character, then they can only match against other players that have gone flawless.
-
Do you want to play a team that has a carry on it or all stacked?
-
I always thought trials should be for clan mates.
-
2 RepliesI went flawless one time. That was the last time I played Trials. The only reason I did that is to get the grimoire. Honestly, if I could remove that filth from my record and never have gone flawless yet maintain the grimoire, I would. I deleted the Trials armor immediately. Caring about flawless is simply some alpha male notion, just like pecker checking in the locker room. Only idiots concern themselves with it.

Maybe you and your team should come up with a game plan for when you encounter carries. Learn their movement patterns and set traps. Once they are taken out then it should be easy sauce from then on.
-
4 RepliesCarrying is unfair? Look at it this way. There's 2 competent players facing your team of 3. You get swept by a handicapped team. Completely your fault. If you cant beat two good people with one guy with no thumbs, what makes you think you'd stand to 3?
-
I think the fact that we're even having this conversation is sad. The carrying isn't the problem. It's that Bungie has dangled this elusive lighthouse in front of all of us and expected us not to lose our s***. This is why we can't have nice things Bungie.
-
so you tellin me you'd rather play 3 good players over 2 good players and some disabled .5? This shit ain't addin up bruh y'all complain about everything 🙄

1 ReplyThey should make different matchmaking, so if you have over 50 wins or something similar then you get matched in a different playlist than those people who have never gone flawless Now, it will actually take skill, not luck for some groups to go flawless
and before you say I'm one of those people, I've had several runs ruined by streamers or carriers, once I literally went up against kjhovey, so I think I have a right to think that going flawless for the first time is more luck than skill
2 RepliesI think they should implement skill based matchmaking for Trials of Osiris. There's no good reason a team of sub 1.0k/d players should be matched against a team of 2.0+k/d players. It doesn't offer a good experience for either the team that will be stomped or the team that does the stomping. Trials of Osiris is meant to be a challenging experience. Not impossibly hard or a cakewalk.

Its everyone choice how they will be playing unless they are cheating everything is ok
-
1 ReplyPeople only do carries to grow their community on twitch or whatever social outlet. Maybe 1 out of every 5000 people do it out of the goodness of their heart to help random people
-
7 RepliesI love curshing teams that try to carry i am the best player in the world, i do not follow meta's i create them let one of these groups of meta humping pussies try to carry some scrub against me in trials and i will demolish them i dont run with stacked teams I AM THE STACKED TEAM
-
I see why you wouldn't like carries but trials wasn't made to be for everyone not everyone will reach the lighthouse im not a sherpa or anything but ive taken gaurdians to the lighthouse before for their first time. Im not a known player im nobody in this community i only helped the people i did because i saw they were trying and just couldn't do it alone thats what should be about.

6 RepliesElitists: "Your KD sucks kid. You don't deserve the Lighthouse, but I'll carry you if you subscribe to my channel or pay me." So a carry is the only way elitists think the majority of the community should reach the Lighthouse. I'll burn this disc while it's in the console before I let some basement dwelling mama's boy carry me. In response to other replies: Yes... I would rather face a stacked team of basement dwelling mama's boy than face 2 basement dwelling mama's boys and their carry.
In their eyes, you don't deserve the Lighthouse unless you subscribe to one of these pukes - or worse yet, pay them. Lighthouse elitists are the biggest scrub hypocrites in gaming.
9 RepliesI don't think carries are the problem.. I think "flawless" is... I'm not great at pvp and I prefer pve so unless I play with above average players I don't stand a chance at flawless. But if I could just grind (similar to Iron Banner) and get rewards then I wouldn't need a carry. Take flawless out of the equation and there will be less people in need of carries.. "Well bounties give the same rewards" - True but winning is more rewarding and fun than getting pub stomped while trying to finish bounties. "All you need is 5 and 7 wins, not flawless" - True but a lot of us can't even get 5 wins without a carry.
-
You may not like it, and that's fine. I even understand that. However, you're not going to stop it.
-
8 RepliesTrials playerbase is just too small, and be nice if they would get their flawless runs done so everyone else can try their best to get there without facing streamers on every damn card
-
Edited by CountyCheese770: 6/20/2017 7:25:48 PMMake trials one flawless per character per account. Cannot buy into trials after a flawless run. Sure they'll be able to run on other people's account and I doubt there's a way to stop that. BUT, the same people, the same character, the same weapons 40+ times a week. Meh
-
yes i agree for the most part, however it is very entertaining to demolish a streamer when they are trying to carry

No idea why I thought this said cowbells instead of carries. I was like, cowbell modifiers in Halo were the best -blam!-ing thing ever!
