So before anyone gets triggered. I am NOT unhappy with Dawnblade. However I feel it could be handled better. At the same time. We won't truly know how Dawnblade functions until the D2 Beta. But, I wanted to share my idea/concept anyways. More so for fun discussion. But also as legit feedback for Bungie. (Should Cosmo actually see this.) So Feedback on what is currently known about Dawnblade: I like that Warlocks get to pull out a Sword of Solar Energy. It's flashy, its epic. It looks badass. But I am disappointed with its execution. The Warlock pulls out a Sword and use it (a sword) to Shoot fireballs at his/her enemies. Once again... I am trying to reserve my judgement for the Beta. Hopefully it will actually have sword combos... But the current information on Dawnblade says that Warlocks pull out the sword, jump up & shoot fire while gliding/floating. In my personal opinion why have the sword then? Why not make it something more well...Mage-like. Warlocks are the "Mage" of Destiny afterall. My idea is simple. Super's Name: Radiant Purge Activation animation: Warlock holds his/her arm up then snaps it down. *whip crack sounds* as a solar flare erupts from the Warlock, (knocking back enemies & burning and/or blinding them) from that point on the Warlock a flaming aura coiling around him/her & has flaming wings (like current Dawnblade). Warlock then floats around leaving a flaming trail in his/her wake. To attack, the Warlock then throws out his/her arms, one arm has flames coiling around it & the other arm has flames coalescing into the Warlock's hand. Then the Warlock goes absolute berserker & unleashes a Solar Fury. R2/RT - Flay the Sinful (Working Title) The Warlock shoots a fireball at upon impact goes supernova. It leaves a flaming nova that spirals around & sucks in enemies, after a few seconds of drawing in enemies it erupts into a massive solar flare/tornado thus burning them to ashes. (Can be fired about as many times as Dawnblade. My flavor text makes it sound more powerful than it actually is.) R1/RB - Retribution (Working Title) The Warlock cracks a flaming whip in a frontal cone. Any enemy hit is cut/entangled & then burned to ash. Can be used into a 3 hit combo. 1 - Regular Frontal whip strike. 2 - Pulls backwards on the whip creating a backdraft and flare. 3 - A flourish where the Warlock spins like a tornado and the whip cracks around like tendrils cracking around from all directions of the spin. The premise behind this is that I feel the "blade" aspect of Dawnblade is wasted. I dislike that Dawnblade (like Hammer of Sol in D1) doesn't get used like a Sword. Atleast Hammer of Sol was in homage to Thor in away. But god would it have been nice to SMASH some mofos in the face with a smoldering hammer. Anyways that's it. Any thoughts? Ideas? I made a poll just to make it easier to see what folks think. Edit: Please post when you vote. It keeps this bumped. =]

 • Better than pulling a sword out of your ass. And less of an Excalibur ripoff

 • Sounds grand < I like the idea of having multiple super options for all characters and subclasses. Then we can chose or pick up quest lines that teach us new magics / supers. Imagine class specific missions that require team work to learn new spells or supers for each subclass

 • Really? Shooting projectiles out of a melee weapon isn't magic enough for you? Interesting idea, but you said it yourself, you haven't even got your hands on it and you're suggesting they completely change what was probably months of multiple people's hard work.
