[i]This was originally written as a school assignment to rewrite Romeo and Juliet in a different setting. As such, it kind sucks because the grade was if you did it, not how good you did it. I am putting it here because why not and because maybe we can all laugh at how bad this rewrite is and how bad Romeo and Juliet is.[/i] A group of Future War Cult frames are walking through the Towers plaza when they see a group of Dead Orbit frames. The two groups would pass by peacefully, but one of the Dead Orbit frames accidentally trips a FWC frame due to a path finding code error. The frame that was knocked down was unfortunately a faulty one that mistook the action as an attack from an enemy. It begins to battle the DO frame, which draws the attention of some guardians attracted by the commotion. Highly unfortunately, most of the guardians drawn over belong to either the FWC or DO. The DO and the FWC guardians started blaming each other for the commotion. One of the more shy members of the DO nervously bit his thumb. A guardian who lived in Victorian London before dying who was in the FWC said “Do you bite your thumb at us sir?” The DO guardian was too taken aback by the odd statement to reply. The FWC guardian took it upon himself to take it as an insult, and so he shot him. This started quite the long firefight between the two factions which only ended when the Speaker came out. “I have had enough with these faction wars! The next member of the DO or the FWC to fight another will be exiled out of the City!” The guardians went back to their faction headquarters, having all been revived by their Ghosts. “TOM!” cried one of the returning guardians from FWC to his friend. “How ya doing? You look sad.” Tom replied with “ I am ‘shut up in prison, kept without my food.’” To that was the reply, “That is the weirdest thing I have ever heard you say, and you once suggested that if we talk to the enemy leader, they might back down.” Tom said, “Oh, it's from a book I found that had the script of a play from hundred of years ago. I was practicing it so that we could perform it in front of everybody as a bit of a laugh at how bad it is. Also, I overheard on an intercepted signal that DO is planning a private Crucible match. Wanna crash?” “Definitely.” “Let's go.” They got on a ship and went over to the site of the Crucible match. They got into the match and had a blast killing the DO members without repercussions. However, at one point, Tom was pinned down behind cover with a team member from the DO. He and she started talking about strategy on how to get out of it. “You have a remarkable strategic mind,” Tom stated. “What's your name? Mine is Tom.” “Rosy,” she replied. “Let's do this.” They used their strategies and won the match, but a member of the DO saw Tom and recognized his fighting style from a time they fought each other. He wanted to attack Tom, but a senior member who was on Tom’s team in the match told him it wasn’t worth it. Tom decides to visit Rosy and have more of a talk with her. They talk for hours. They decide that they want to form a fireteam to do Trials of Osiris together. They secretly go to the Crucible handler to set it all up. As they head back, the DO member who recognized Tom attacks him for it, but Tom, a superior fighter, wins and kills him several times in a row, humiliating him. The Speaker got mad at that, but because of his skill he was just sent to the Reef for a couple years instead of exile, ruining the Trials of Osiris plans. The Crucible handler, who wanted to see his best proteges together, told her that he could give Tom different armor in order to trick the Speaker. To get the armor though, Rosy needs to go on a difficult Strike on her own. She takes a while doing it, which spreads a rumor that she was killed permanently on it. Romeo learns of that and plans to run the strike himself to find her, but he is met by the Speaker who wanted to find her himself. They have a battle, with Tom coming out on top, and wounding the Speaker. He is upset with the state of all this, so he goes to fight the raid boss all on his own. He sees Rosy hiding in a corner, and joins her. They eventually defeat him, and return in triumph to the Tower, dragging the Speaker with him. Edit: many people seem to not like the lack of paragraphs and formatting. As j said in the beginning, it was a school project I copied over. I thought people might like a laugh from it, so j posted here. If you can't read it as it is, don't read it. I didn't post for up votes or people to like it. I even said feel free to critisize it. It's meant to be bad.
