Conspiracy Lore: Eris Morn

Here's what we know... After the death of her fire team on the moon (with the exception of Toland), Eris survived in the tunnels of the hive for many years. We know see has the eyes of a Hive. We know that she has abilities outside of the normal spectrum of other guardians. She carries a tomb husk; which she speaks to. She has a "connection" to the Hive in a telepathic sense ,much like an Greek Oracle, as well as to Toland (We are going to try to stay away from Toland's story). Eris has been instrumental in the destruction of the Hive we have encountered; guiding us along the way with her personal knowledge. Spin foil hats on please... How did Eris survive? In the Eyes of Crota Toland says "Do you feel your Light fading? They are offering it to Crota. Us coming here, we are the ones waking him." This stuck with me for some reason. Imagine Eris, alone in the dark, desperate to survive alone. I imagine here skulking around in the dark, hiding, evading, with her light fading. Toland is in her ear (mind?) explaining the Hive, the sword logic, the power of the Darkness. Light fading. How can she defend herself? How can she hide from the Hive who seek the very light she holds? To "hide" her light from the Hive Eris chooses to consume a Hive Worm. The worm sustains her after her light fades away; or in a much darker scenario she loses her ghost by consuming its light to feed her own worm. Eris feeds her worm like a scavenger destroying lesser entities of the hive and evading them with "trickery". Eris returns to Tower. The rest of that part of the story you all already know. The end of that part of the story has always stuck with me. "My Queen". We know in the Book of Sorrows that Oryx, Savathun, and Xivu Arath fed there worms in different ways. Oryx through exploration and expansion. Savathun through cunning. Xivu Arath through war. All three of the siblings killed, plotted and schemed against each other out of love many times. In "Wormfood" Oryx speaks of his dependence on Crota, the Daughters, the Court, etc... How he has become dependant on them, and how difficult it would be to sustain his Worm without that infrastructure. Eris Morn sends us to dismantle the kingdom of Oryx in almost the exact order of that infrastructures description. Until, finally we kill Oryx in his own throne world; a "permanent death". "My Queen". In the darkness of the moons tunnels Eris Morn without her light could not battle the hive. How then could she feed her worm? Trickery. She tricked the Hive by becoming part of them. She disguises herself as one of them. In "The Gift Mast" Savathûn "flanked by her chorus and her celebrants. They trick their way onto Ana-Harmony in disguises, so that they might vivisect these dragons. The Worm our God laughs and laughs. For a hundred years Savathûn keeps secret covens among the Harmony." Eris Morn tricks the guardians of the Tower into believing she is a returned poor soul. Eris Morn tricks the Queen of the Reef into attacking Oryx head on. Eris Morn manipulates us into destroying the power structure of a third of the Hive, and Oryx himself. Why? Oryx had his Throne world turned "inside out" to have it placed inside the Drednaught to protect its exposure from his sisters. Savathun and Xivu Arath separted from Oryx and each other to become "different" shortly thereafter. Eris Morn used the Worm to survive in the Darkness. She used the guardians of the tower to penetrate the Throne world of Oryx; to destroy the ascendant Hive of the Court of Oryx, the children of Oryx, and then Oryx himself to make way for Savathun the Witch-Queen. Hive God of Trickery. You may remove your spin foil hats now.
