No one died my first suicide mission since it seemed obvious to do all loyalty missions beforehand. I did Jacks loyalty towards the end based off advice from a friend.
I see why he told me since paragon was full. So her and Mirandas argument didn't effect her loyalty. Same with Legion and Tali.
Choosing who does what in the suicide mission is also easy. Just gotta pay attention really.

Also, if u do the legion tali argument, siding with tali will lead with no repercussions, and if u side with one person between jack and Miranda, you have the opportunity to speak with the person you rebuffed, you have the option to charm or intimidate them.

I saw that in later playthroughs. I don't remember if I've ever even sided with Legion.

Edited by BillFromIT: 6/2/2017 1:49:14 PMWhen I did my sweep of everything up until I got to illium, I made sure to pick every single paragon conversation option, charm, and interrupts, and the upgrades so I had max paragon when I got to illium

Yeah but even if you do all the ship upgrades and loyalty missions team mates can still die if you give them the wrong jobs to do. So I think few people had everyone survive on the first play through.

I got all upgrades cause they seemed mandatory (i shoulda payed attention to when they said the scars would heal, waste or resources). But for each part of the suicide mission they'll give you a hint of what you'll need. "Oh, we need a barrier to shield us from collector swarms". Biotics easily, send Jack or samara "We need someone to go into this vent shaft and hack some shit closed". Sounds like a tech type of thing. Let's go Legion or Tali "We need someone to lead a second squad". I choose either Garrus or Miranda. Do this twice. "We need an escort to get the crew to safety" Grunt and Mordin (Mordin was STG, so he knows how to escort and such). Idk, i like paying attention to detail so i just notice things.
