Great. So I'll get a squeaker who says he knows what to do but can't even stay alive for for 5 seconds. WOW. Thank you Bungie. Thank. YOU.

Edited by 8===D~~~: 6/1/2017 2:24:05 AMI can't understand how this could ever be a problem to anyone, ever. If you don't like the thought of raiding with people who are incapable, don't press matchmaker. Find your own raid teams like we already do now. No one said you have to match make in order to raid. I welcome the change to give others who lack the friend groups, or time to find a dedicated team, a chance at beating the late game content. Edit; so apparently it's not matchmaking in a sense that you would be paired up like in the crucible. Still. No body forces you to play with people you don't like.

You must be 13 years or older to use bungie.net
-
Can anybody explain to me why they have a problem with this. All the raids are stand here and shoot x for x amount of time. As more people get in it becomes easier to just jump in with whoever and it done. Have the people that are against this not played any other games with a form of matchmaking?
-
I sure hope they make the transitioning between clans a breeze, until you find one that fits.
-
Not quite matchmaking. It's more like clan ride along.
-
But i can see it now..."raid matchmakimg is trash, why do i get matched up with bunch of crappy players." This will be the norm and we should all be prepare for it.
-
Yup! Although I'd still use the app for LFG just in case to get ready before I get home; this would give me the incentive to actually do some raids.
-
Edited by Benny: 5/29/2017 6:22:31 PMlol why are people arguing that this isn't matchmaking. When people like op say "matchmaking" they mean they they can find a team to play with. Sure it isn't actual matchmaking (it's lfg) but its pretty close to it. Forgot to add: the point I'm trying to make is, why argue over this? He got what is basically matchmaking and he's happy, you're now going to mock op for what he calls it?
-
I'm personally hyped for this too
-
This seems to be for players who didn't want to use the100 or the recruitment section of Destiny. Looks like they are going to have to use another form of it "in game". Random raid matchmaking is not going to happen anytime soon. This is Bungies way of avoiding that train wreck.
-
Have you never found a raid team before or something?
-
Eh. Whatever.
-
I wouldn't say matchmaking
-
Matchmaking is where the game picks your match for you. Problem with that is people in this matchmaking system really don't want much out of it. If they aren't doing it their first time without a mic, than they're probably afk, or just actively trolling to mess up your raiding experience. This system sounds more like LFG, which works far better so you can avoid what I said above

Edited by chickengoujohn93: 5/30/2017 5:02:16 PMIt's not MM. Its some crude version of LFG that so heavily relies on clans. Its very limited. A solo player can't just open his fireteam and allow 5 others to join. They keep reiterating the clans that need one/two more players. Personally I think Guided Games will flop based on the info so far and it'll be back to LFG.net for many.
-
MM? Has there been a new announcement? I know there is Guided Games but that is NOT MM! Unless I have seen it totally wrong. The way I saw it was, my clan would say be 1 short for a raid and we can just look in game for someone to join us. Vice versa for a solo player. Not really MM..... Is it not the exact same way as it's always been but you can find players in game and not on a 3rd party site out of game... Could be wrong... Oh and poll is poo....
-
They aren't. They specifically said that matchmaking for raids or other activities that requires tons of coordination leads to added toxicity that they wish to avoid .
-
Unless bungie makes the raids easier in d2 you guys in matchmaking won't be able to beat them without communication and experience. I'm glad the raids are becoming more easily accessible to everyone but not much is gonna change really.
-
I was against "Matchmaking" in D1. This new system, however, shows promise and will be a good recruitment tool for clans. So I am for it now.
-
I can't wait to jump on the forms once it goes live. You think raiding is hard now? Just wait.
-
This will be the same guy complaining later on about being kicked, randos sucking, or ruining his experience lmao what destiny 2 should have got was a vote to kick
-
The drawback to this is going to be priceless makes me wonder how the complaints on the forums will look. 😂
-
It about bloody time they introduce matchmaking for raids people have been calling for it for a long time
-
Biased poll.... Also it was a waste, they should've left it at the systems we already have, matchmaking for basic activities , then go to recruitment to get a team together in 5 mins.
-
I hope all activities other than raid will have MM. None of those activities require lifelong friendships or even a mic. It's a pain to do it alone, tedious grind.
