What a special snowflake. The reward is a cosmetic, emblem/shader. Also, the rewards are per account, not per character. So no, you don't have to transfer your characters.

  • Honest question: is this for real?

Yes. Plus it's pretty obvious. They didn't directly confirm this but their words were "Characters who complete The Black Garden Mission and reach level 20 get the character transferred to D2, just their looks though, no armor or weapons or progression. And then they said that Guardians who participated in Destiny 1 will get special stuff for showing their veteran ranks.

  • If anything, you're the special snowflake for acting like such a know it all. He was just asking a question, not demanding anything.

  • No, I just pay attention and don't make a post to find out something that can easily be looked up.

  • For instance, asserting that rewards are per account not per character. Given that absolutely nothing has been confirmed about any of that.

That would prove difficult since Bungie has not, in fact, confirmed anything like that yet. Nice try, though.

  • They didn't directly confirm this but their words were "Characters who complete The Black Garden Mission and reach level 20 get the character transferred to D2, just their looks though, no armor or weapons or progression. And then they said that "Guardians, accounts, who participated in Destiny 1 will get special stuff for showing their veteran ranks." You really think they would ONLY allow the guardians who transferred up to wear those emblems/shaders? You make me laugh.

  • So, to recap: A commentator points out that "If anything, you're the special snowflake for acting like such a know it all. He was just asking a question, not demanding anything." You try to respond with, "No, I just pay attention and don't make a post to find out something that can easily be looked up." I ask for a citation for your assertion that it "can easily be looked up." When called on the carpet about that (it can't, it turns out, be looked up because it's never been said), you double down with: "They have already told us, WTF are you talking about?" I point out that no, in fact that has not been said anywhere, you respond with the clever "well, they didn't say it, but I believe it so it must be." (My paraphrase). Whig brings us back full circle. 👍

  • Your paraphrase is wrong. I don't believe that's how it will work, I know that's how it'll work because logic exists. c:

  • And yet, your original assertion remains that you "don't make posts to find out something that can easily be looked up"...even though it can't be looked up because it hasn't in fact been said. Ergo, it must be true because you believe it, not because it's been said. Because logic. 👍
