Edited by Thane: 5/27/2017 3:54:16 AMAnything would be better than Vanilla Destiny. What will be available at the sequel's launch ?? - Mediocre/brief flashy sequences at best/no substance. - Worse PVP (a no buy for mainly PvP players like me). - Basically more of the same old meh. Zero innovation. - More rubbish cutscenes trying to elevate a rubbish story (pointless). "You guardian, traveler is good, shoot everything else on sight". And thats me trying to be optimistic.

With the new matchmaking, I might actually do a raid.
-
We'll be getting quite a bit. 4 planets, a bunch of side missions, a raid, some strikes....basically a huge foundation for the D2 lifespan. Considering D1 vanilla was....lacking and what they did post TTK to save everything, I think D2 as a whole is shaping up to be a great experience. Also, they got by with a lackluster debut with a slim first DLC. No way will fans of the series be cool with that happening twice. D2 vanilla flops and the series goes down.

What I hope for is that this time Bungie took advantage of the lore the Destiny-Universe offers and created a good story. Other than that I hope we will see lots of Servitors and high ranking Fallen. I love the sounds the Servitors make and when Fallen chatter simply sounds badass. As you can see I am easy to please.

See that mountain over there....

Once more unto the breach

I will be available! Destiny's worst player. The casual casual!
-
At launch I assume there will be: - A somewhat lengthy, cinematic campaign spanning all new locations and involving many key characters - Large worlds that are filled with other players and many activities to do, including all the regular patrol missions and events with new verisons, features, and additions World bosses in dungeons with loot, in many places in the world maps Many Adventures led by NPCs that introduce you to new areas in the map and flesh out the story of the world - A new raid -Some opportunity to study the deep lore (I hope) -PvP with new modes and many maps - I hope and expect for more regular live events Basically everything they showed in the stream. It is only how much content each aspect can provide that will determine how worthwhile it is

Well, destiny 1 started out with: -4 explorable patrol areas -6 strikes -1 raid -100,000,000,000 bugs -laggy cruicible -6v6, 3v3, and rumble pvp modes -no story -bad leveling system -repetitive endgame Then all the dlc came along and made that: -6 explorable patrol areas -17 strikes -4 raids -prison of elders -patrol endgame (archon's forge, court of oryx) -better pvp connections -6v6, 3v3, 2v2, rumble, and private matches 999,999,967,109 bugs -better story -much better leveling system -much more rewarding and playable endgame So we take that and consider the good things and the bad things we see here.... First, is that destiny's endgame was partially starved by the lack of multiple raids. I think that most people would agree that having 4 raids active with challenge modes is definitely much better than previously only having 1 raid to grind for months, or even a year at a time. Secondly, we should take the story heavily into consideration. This was a huge part of critique in vanilla destiny, that plagued reviews and ran a lot of potential players away. In destiny 2, this issue looks like it will be solved, as the first story mission presented to us probably in the gameplay reveal had more story than og destiny. And lastly, pvp. We already know that every mode is going to 4v4. no large 6v6 vehicle madness, no 3v3 sweat fests, and worst of all, no rumble... That last one makes my stomach ache. Is this really a good decision? So players on both sides of the destiny spectrum are left with doubts about what destiny 2 will have to offer for returning players. If you play PvE, there is only 1 raid. Are you going to be happy grinding that raid 3 times a week, coming out of the lush state of PvE endgame that destiny 1 currently has? Will Bungie make a way for us to enjoy this raid until the next content drop? And what if you are a PvP player? Is 4v4 something you are looking forward to? no more rumble games to warm up your shot before a trials card. Rift, combined arms, and mayhem will all be scrapped to promote a more competitive and aware PvP audience. Expect to see sweat fests much more often a few months after release, when the new players either learn the meta, or migrate to another game. But you can also expect to be much more individually effective when playing control or clash... Either way, we won't know what more to think until we play it. Hopefully Bungie will grace us with the beta as soon as possible.

Tanks that no one will talk about. Seriously it's like no one saw the abundantly clear tanks being driven.

It'll definitely be better than vanilla Destiny.

i found a hidden 4th exotic that's pretty meat

Edited by Sturm with no Drang: 5/28/2017 1:27:29 AMA race to find the location of the next generation of loot caves and glitches which will inevitably lead to them getting patched, "fixed" and broken. I can practically taste the salt already. So much...hatred. So much...bitterness. The post-spamming will flood the forums, ensuring complete, global saturation.

Well, it cant be any worse than destiny. I think...
-
It needs to be better than CURRENT destiny. What we've seen so far is way better than vanilla destiny 1 but that's not saying much at all. Comparing to current destiny, destiny 2 looks to be severely lacking even if there is a large quantity of the already mentioned content.
-
All the DLC will be available at launch , you just have to pay twice for it
-
Storage space will be a microtransaction
-
PVE will be better. PVP not so much is my worry. Ability diversity of will suck.
-
Destiny one but +1 better
-
I think there will be more people who can't say anything without mentioning that they've played since vanilla. Also, I've been playing since Destiny 1 beta.
-
Looking forward to all those people who sparrow glitch around the maps to find hidden areas that will soon be a part of a DLC.
-
What does vanilla mean and why isn't is even called vanilla?
-
Think Destiny 1 except... a million times better.
-
Needless to say destiny now is way better than vanilla ever was. I'm sure vanilla D2 will continue the trend and be better overall, now we won't have nearly as much content as we do now but here's how I hope things go. Expansion one is very cutscene driven and adds 3 or 4 new pvp maps. No raid maybe 2 new strikes and some type of brand new pve post game that's not quite PoE but not a raid. Expansion 2 adds a strike, more story, 1 pvp map and a raid. Sometime a few months later the vanilla raid gets a light/difficulty increase similar to age of triumphs. I hope each expansion brings new vendor weapons cause the full year of taken king vendor sets got really old really fast. And I hope they all have a different look, a few reskins is alright with me but every vendor weapon looking exactly the same like in RoI was a little annoying lol I get why they did it but still.
