I'm going to be completely honest here: I've been getting really salty after playing Elimination matches full of these guns. I know it's irrational, but I can't help it. Playing against fireteams of hardscopers and ROFLstompers is incredibly annoying; especially when they're using the most broken guns in 3v3 and acting like they're hot shit or something.
I feel like a majority of the defenders of these weapons make their arguments from a standpoint of "I use these things, therefore they're balanced," or "I have fun using these guns, so if you aren't having fun playing against me, you're a whining shit-talker." It's my opinion that The Palindrome, Eyasluna, and Ice Breaker are among the a-little-too-strong things in Destiny, and I don't think they should be able to do the things they do.
All I'm asking for are reasonable explanations for why I'm wrong. I want some sort of explanation for why 3-shot handcannons and a sniper with infinite ammo are perfectly balanced and not superior to almost everything else in the game (barring sidearms). Thanks for your time.
Just so you don't have to waste your time, my K/Ds across my three characters are 1.3, 1.2, and 1.0. My Titan has a lower ratio because I never play on it. I play on my Warlock the most.
Also, yes, I use a sidearm. The Wormwood, to be specific. The only reason I use this weapon is because of the special ammo changes. I was a big fan of sniping and fusion rifling before the changes. I'm very aware that these weapons are very strong right now, but I believe that that is solely due to the ammo changes. The guns themselves aren't incredibly overpowered or anything.

Also, for the sake of avoiding drama, I'll be ignoring all sarcastic/insulting responses. "Git gud" or "Cry more" are comments that don't warrant discussion.
Edited by Eat My Acid: 5/25/2017 3:20:54 PMDo you realise how terrible icebreaker is. I mean really... High magnification, clunky, and for those who care about aim assist its aim assist is like I believe 25. If that gun didn't surpass the ammo loss rule then literally no one would use it Quite frankly I'm confused on why you care about what other people are using. I really don't mean to sound like a jerk but at the end of the day if it liked you, it killed you. Clearly Bungie wants you to use those guns. They make it obvious that they basically give you a set load out to use. Use it or you're at a disadvantage. Using an auto rifle? Bitch please it's not auto rifle week. Unless you get the drop on that person or they don't have thumbs you're dead kid
