We cant join us if we play destiny on two xbox in the same network why?
I cant play with my friend if we are both in the same network ? in the beginning we could after a patch it doesn´t work any more. All other games we can play in the same network with 2 xbox. why we can not join our fireteam ?

Edited by Tosh: 5/24/2017 5:45:54 PMTry rebooting your router as well as both consoles. I had this issue with my room mate and that's what fixed ours. EDIT: Also try disconnecting and reconnecting both consoles after the reset.

7 Repliesbecause the ports can only be opened for one device at a time. Until of course we leave IPV4 behind and move on to IPV6 protocol.

Edited by RAIST5150: 5/25/2017 10:46:58 PMMake sure UPnP is properly enabled on your router and both the consoles. They need the service so they can negotiate separate ports to use, otherwise all the inbound packets will get forwarded to just one console and the other one gets dropped. Might need to run the console's network test on each of them to refresh the service registrations. The process can get a bit flaky with some router/firmware combinations. Might also want to check if your router has a firmware update available--they've fixed some issues with UPnP and other security issues in the last year or so.
