I find it refreshing. I liked the time when everyone was beginners, however brief. This may have been done already, but I didn't see anything.

My argument is the opening sequence doesn't support losing everything. We crawl out of our beds in our undies to fight the invading Cabal? Same factions & vanguard rep - if you keep 1 character shouldn't that characters rep continue on? I'm excited for a new game, but it seems Bungie was more concerned about starting over because of all the in-house drama.
-
To be fair, Bungie couldn't balance most of the D1 gear to save their lives. After having my gear totally ruined by nerfs, I am okay with leaving it behind if it means that they will get the D2 equipment right.
-
I think if everything carried over, it wouldn't feel like a sequel at all. I'm fine with losing everything
-
Hate it so much i may not be buying it If it is so "refreshing" to obliterate your work because of their lazyness...why dont you delete all your stuff on your own right now? that could be an option in d2 you know, just start a new character and let the people who want to keep the stuff they spent so much time getting do so. then EVERYBODY wins but no this is the biggest nerf ever, they nerfed my effort to build my characters.
-
I don't like the full restart. I understand not letting us take every last thing but we should at least get to carry over something of significance.
-
why can't they just let our ghost shells or class items transfer? or at least the tiny box of raisins or celery.
-
I'm ready to forget the initial launch of destiny. It's shortness, floppy story, etc. however I am still waiting for some extra information on the patrols and gameplay before confirming my buy or not.
-
No Metas!!!! I'm ready for something new and fresh
-
I will miss my Emblems and Shaders because they were actually Cosmetic. My other stuff can go back to the Pit of the forgotten

It'll be great to feel noob again

Edited by BOSS_TPH76: 5/24/2017 3:08:16 PMI don't really care. Except for my boots of Yolo I really wasn't attached to anything. That said however....sincd Bungie pulled the "let's destroy your stuff"-card in this first sequel to force a restart....I am interested in seeing how they will force such a restart in D3. It is a long way off of course.

Can't wait to know nothing again
i love the feeling of discovery
I like because if we had everything then nothing really would be a challenge. I loved going in on my first vog with only a couple of ledgenary and blues and gaining the rewards felt that much better Imo.
-
I am looking forward to it. Should be fun.

I'm fine with it I've played WoW for 12 years now(started at end of Vanilla and played Hard Core till end of Cata, now I go back for Expacs for a few months to max a few toons level) I'm used to seeing all my raid gear get outclassed with the next expac and having to relearn my classes wheneverBlizzard swings the nerf bat(watched Druids go from being a LOL class to OP and back again) Destiny 2 gives everyone a chance to start on equal footing

Edited by SnakePayne86: 5/24/2017 4:48:59 AMMost video games are like that. You gotta start all over. Every one thinks Destiny breaks the mold but it's like every game follows the same formulas like Hollywood movies

Trust me - this has been done (asked) a number of times since it was announced that nothing will carry over except how our characters look... To be honest - at first I was a more than a little miffed that basically all that we ( I ) 'worked" to accomplished in Destiny was being thrown out like yesterday's trash, but now not so much. Truthfully, I like the idea of starting over and learning new ways to play the game. While I be bringing my Hunter and Warlock over, I'm not sure about my Titan and so I may end up creating a whole new character to see what's like to play a character that technically has no ties to Destiny and to see how that is handled.
