This has been a topic on here for nearly 2 years, and why? Because its a flawed system. Destiny 2 needs to wipe SBMM out COMPLETELY! I say that for a few simple reasons - #1 Players want to have fun in crucible and play with friends. Why dont most of my friends play with me? Because my lobby is the ultimate sweatfest #2 Lag - This one is very simple. If im matching a player in Africa because of SBMM then its broken. #3 Ranked Playlist - Either put a visual rank into the game or there is no reason for SBMM For all the players out there who think "You dont want to play with players of your skill"..I understand you thinking that this is the reasok but it is not. Finding games based on connection (CBMM) would allow a 1%'er to be just that.. 1% of all players you will play in crucible. The average times you will play someone who is red bar 100000 miles away from you will be less likely to happen. Lets say you have a 1 kd. You go into a game based on SBMM, you find players very fast, most games are not so laggy, but then you run across a laggy game where the other team is a team of 4 and have spanish clan names. Why did that happen? Well in that clan there is a 1.7 kd player, a 1.5 kd, a 1, and a .6.. they average out to be slightly above your kd but still close enough to be able to match you. This happens more often than 1% of the time.. so in reality there is no difference for you as a player in SBMM and CBMM. While a 1% player matches in SBMM are constant sweat fest with people all over the world... one side gets royally screwed for have a good elo or kd (however bungies secret mm criteria is) and the other still randomly gets screwed. Why dont we just all agree that SBMM should be thrown out? It will help EVERYONE involved... we all will find better connections, less lag, and enter games faster.. and the odds of you playing someone in the Top10% are just that.. 10%.
