Already made a thread like this, but now I understand PCs a little bit more than I did before.
I've been looking at some builds, and I've been wondering, what graphics card should I go for if I want to run Destiny 2 1080p 60fps+ on high settings? I've been looking at the RX 480.
Any advice or opinions are welcome. I'm very new to the world of PCs, so anything helps.

Edited by Unforgiven: 5/23/2017 3:36:31 AM1080 gtx are coming down in price so I would invest in one to get best image quality and most fps. Also Intel 7700k cpu. Also go for 64gb of ram. The rest doesn't really matter as long as you use SSD drive. The truth of it I if you buy a PC why not get the best quality and you won't need to upgrade for a while. People spend a lot more on cars, just put it on credit card and pay it off at your own pace if you want the best experience that is. I would also get 4k monitor as well.

What happened to my comment?

Well PCs are an investment. Mine is going to be around 2200 dollars this includes the 4k monitor

Go with a 8gb rx580 just about the same price as a 480, they're the same architecture but the 580 is the "improved" one
-
Well they've partnered with nvidia for the pc version. You will get maybe a few more frames as I'm sure they'll adapt it but the ati cards are usually cheaper
-
The rx 580 is roughly the same with slightly more power, it's about the same price too. If your budget is less than $700 I'd suggest using a ryzen 1600
-
I would go with either the 480 or the 580 whichever one is cheaper

Could use the RX 580 since its not too much more expensive. Probably one of the i7 processors and a good amount of DDR4 ram. If I had to guess the game will be very well optimized as while I'm not the biggest fan of Activision, they do a really good job making sure their game runs well on all platforms. 1080 with 60 FPS shouldn't be too hard to obtain due to that.

RX 580 would be perfect as many have mentioned. You could probably even do 144fps (if bungie supports it, which I believe they will).

Edited by Martiis: 5/22/2017 10:09:44 AM480, 580, or 1060 6gb. Any of those three will perform about the same. Just get whichever is the cheapest. Our of those I'd lean toward the 580 or 480 personally because freesync displays are readily available at affordable prices.
