Your overall thoughts on Destiny 2?

this is to give a feedback on what you think of the destiny 2 reveal, base on youtube videos. Let me start what i think: For me when I start playing new content for Destiny, it only last for a month (it's after playing Iron Banner and 1 weekend of Trials of Osiris). For the pvp gameplay; the pvp feels like you're using HFR auto after nerf on year 1 (check out the HEX Caster ARC on year 1). a thought if I wanna play pvp: I saw the new iron banner armor (Titans have a knight's armor almost looks like the taken king iron banner armor), I might play pvp because of that. I might play pvp more if there is a huge PVP map (same size as a vehicle maps in Destiny 1, with scout rifle/snipers only map for 12 vs 12 control). CRazy? I know. But it's fun :) Of course, I would probably put this in the special weekly like Mayhem Clash.

  • Really like the new titan subclass with the defense barricades and wall and how they kept bubble. I feel hunters were shafted the New hunter subclass is a nerfed arc blade Ps. no invisibility for arc blade I get it was annoying on pvp but that saved my a#$ countless times on pve they better have it on nightstalker at least or have some armor to make you invisible

  • PvE looks delicious. Huge open worlds, lots of things to do, and improved matchmaking so I won't have to rely on LFG (which is an ordeal on my phone). PvP is cause for concern. Weapons kill slow, specials are effectively deleted. And it's possible that they may have actually ruined D1's PvP just so it'll be more like D2's. Not a positive sign. The beta will answer more of my questions, and what I see is enough to make me eager to try it. But, what I see elsewhere is enough to dissuade me from preordering.

I'm conflicted on it right now. I like what I saw........but it still looks pretty much the same. I loved D1, and I will like D2, but I was expecting more. I was hoping for something revolutionary. I was disappointed with what I saw and what I hear from PvP. I'll have to see much more though. I will play the beta and go from there. Still haven't decided if I'll pre-order. I keep changing my mind.

    • Bottomline, I think what people saw was their own preconceptions reflected back. 1. If you like Destiny 1, you're seeing at game that is building upon what it did well....and making major changes to significantly improve what it didn't do well. 2. If you were unsure or walked away from Destiny 1....you probably didn't see enough to convince you to come back. 3. If you hated Destiny 1. You're going to hate Destiny 2 even more. Personally, I fall into the first category. Although much wasn't said about it, its looking like PVE is going to move to more of an open-world style game (which is what I wanted), and most of the major design conflicts with respect to PVE and PVP were resolved in favor of providing the best PVE experience possible. The changes to the Crucible look to be a win-win. Giving the hardcore PVP players what the want (minus 60 fps and dedicated servers), but doing so in a way that will pretty much eliminate the need for major changes to class abilities or weapons for balancing. Thus minimizing the impact of PVP on the sandbox, and freeing up human resources from the constant re-balancing treadmill that was Destiny 1. All in all, I'm really liking what I'm seeing. But I'll have to play the beta to be sure.

Waiting for beta but not expecting much improvement beyond quality of life fixes in pve so I'll run out of content or get bored before rngesus smiles upon me. Also hate 4v4 I'm a 6v6 or more player

      • My immediate response from the reveal is D2 is 85% a copy/paste of D1. However, the beta will be the determining factor on how I assess D2 and whether or not I buy this game. Good in-game storyline/telling is essential and will make/break my final decision about this franchise.

        • Trying to reserve judgment (at least somewhat), until Beta. I do not have high hopes.
