No, on the contrary, from what I've seen of luke smith, I think he's a fairly genuine guy who loves this game as much as any guardian.
He has designed some of the best gaming experiences of my life, namely VoG and kingsfall, and I have nothing but respect for him because of that.
Why don't you like him? Because he's overweight? That's a pretty shallow reason dude, you'd think you could come up with something a little more substantial.

I don't like King's Fall, namely because I think the mechanics become to involved. But I will say it is the most epic raid. You actually feel like you killed a king by the end of it.

Yeah some like the mechanics, some don't, but no one can deny it's the most epic raid along with vault, and luke smith created both of them. He gets a lot of unsubstantiated hate, some guy was trying to blame no dedicated servers on him earlier. Like,I understand everyone's frustration, but direct it at the right places/people.

He seems like a fun guy to be honest.... shame it took until Age of Triumph to actually wear Oryx's ass like a hat, though.

Yeah, I don't think you've seen what he did to Destiny 1 during its development.

Yeh, during destiny 1 development he was raid lead designer, so he created the best bit of vanilla destiny, apart from that he had very little to do with overall gameplay/design.
